They aren't afraid of people here either, even mothers with babies. I'm cautious when I step outside my door at night.

This is so stupid, just let people shoot the d*mn things and be done with it. My grandfather just sits and laughs when he hears about this stuff, explains to us (over and over) how it would have been handled when he was younger. I think sometimes the old ways really are better...

Easy way to deal with 'coons.
1.) Reduce coon to dead flesh with application of firearm of choice. I like a .22
2.) Skin and clean. Pick most of fat off the bone. This is tedious, but makes for a tastier meal.
3.) Put in large roaster. Stack sweet potatoes around bottom. Salt/Pepper to taste, splash zesty Italian dressing on meat.
4.) Cook at 350 until done to the bone.

This sooo sounds like the trailer to the next teen horror flick.
Killer Urban Raccoons! They aren't afraid. Their once cute kits are a new breed. This year, things changed. They went nuts. They aren't afraid. They are in command.

Meanwhile, residents have hired Tom Brown, a nuisance wildlife control operator from Rochester, Washington, to set traps, but in six weeks he has caught only one raccoon. Traps my a**. A bright light, some responsible hunters, some 20 ga shotguns, some good dogs, bingo! problem solved!

One of my cats spent a few weeks of her kittenhood living in a cage with a young racoon! A friend of mine had found them both but only had one cage. The racoon liked to suck on the kitten's ears and tail!

Olympia is a VERY liberal town (I live there) in the style of Madison Wisc., Eugene OR and Berkley.
It will be fun to see the pet owners vs tree huggers settle this one (I'd use a .45, personally).
