"COLD CASE" - TWA FLIGHT 800 Movement in D.C. on FBI cover-up
World Net Daily.com ^ | August 17, 2006 | Jack Cashill

Posted on 08/21/2006 8:19:46 PM PDT by AnimalLover

Serious movement in D.C. – and if I hadn't been there, I would not have believed it.

For several months Joan Wire and her daughter have been trying to secure an appointment with a highly effective government official we'll simply call Mr. Washington. Joan Wire is the stalwart wife of Mike Wire. Mike is the storied "man on the bridge," the single most critical eyewitness in the saga of TWA Flight 800, the 747 that was inexplicably blown out of the sky on the night of July 17, 1996.

The CIA built its notorious zoom-climb animation around Mike's position on the Beach Lane Bridge in Westhampton. The FBI then used this animation to discredit all the eyewitnesses. To make Wire's story work to its advantage, however, the CIA had to disregard what Mike actually told the FBI and fully fabricate a second FBI interview with Mike.

The CIA likely chose Wire because as a Philadelphia area millwright he would have less influence and less access to the media than the many of the wealthy vacationers in the Hamptons who had seen what Wire saw.

In one of those providential moments, when the Wires called to tell me they had secured an appointment, I was hanging out with my 50 or so closest relatives at our rent-a-compound in the un-Hyannis honky-tonk town of Seaside Park, N.J. The Wires were just about an hour way. On the night of July 26, they came over for dinner. On the morning of July 27, we hooked up at the Chesapeake House on I-95 and carpooled into D.C. together.

On the way down, we voiced our shared expectation that Mr. Washington would usher us into his office, listen to us politely for 15 minutes, fake some emergency, pat us on our heads, tell us he'd look into it and send us on our way.

As it turned out, Mr. Washington ushered us into his office at 11 a.m., listened to us more than politely, and at 1:30 p.m., after two and a half intense hours, I stood up and announced that I had family obligations back in New Jersey and had to go. Joining us for that entire period was Ms. Virginia, Washington's chief intelligence aide. They were both all ears.

We began by showing them the eyewitness section of the video, "Silenced," which I had put on DVD primarily for this occasion, never suspecting that I would be the one showing it. Mike Wire then elaborated on his own role. When he spoke, no one doubted him. Although there were 270 others who saw what Wire had seen, his testimony alone is enough to convince the unbelieving. The more-than-solid, 6-foot 6-inch Army veteran has a no-nonsense air that nicely grounded everything he and I said.

For my part, I connected the political dots: the players, the motivation, the rough logic, the ad hoc decisions and the likely connection to Bojinka, now much again in the news, and Sept. 11. None of this shocked our listeners. They had had their own indirect contact with the players who form something of a Clinton shadow government in exile. These players are now publicly contributing to certain 2006 congressional candidates in the hope of securing power anew, power enough to shut down any future investigation.

We also discussed Sandy Berger's motivation in rifling the archives and shredding documents, the most under-investigated story since TWA Flight 800 itself. I speculated that Berger destroyed a Bojinka summary, which I know for a fact President Clinton had read and annotated in the late summer of 1996. The incriminating part of Bojinka, at least as it related to 9-11, I explained, was not the bombing of the planes, but the threat within to use planes as bombs. No one looked at me like I was crazy.

Mr. Washington was fully versed not only in Bojinka but also in the threat of its architect, Ramzi Yousef, to blow up a plane in the summer of 1996 to throw his New York City trial for Bojinka into mistrial. I could not verify that Yousef was responsible, but I could verify that he claimed to have been.

Toward the end of the session, Mr. Washington all but apologized to us for the state of government today. "It's not supposed to be like this," he lamented.

That provoked in me my "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" moment. On the up side, I encouraged him, just one night earlier the Wires and I had been plotting strategy over hamburgers with my siblings while various little nieces and nephew swarmed around our picnic table. The next day, we drove down, joking how absurd it was that three average Joes like ourselves had wangled a high-level meeting on a story that could dwarf Watergate if broken. "Is this a great country or what?" I laughed, but I meant it.

The Wires and I have taken this story about as far as our information and influence can carry us. Everything we know we have already said. Whether Mr. Washington can take it further I do not know. He could surely use a little help from the New York Times or others in the media or others in government. This may never happen, but then again, I never thought this meeting would have happened either.

It's like arguing with a houseplant with these people.

They're delusional.

Crash scene debris is usually open to the public? do they sell tickets, or can you get in for free?

Crash scene debris is open to other agencies of the government, yes: specifically the NTSB. In this case, the agency that investigates every air accident. Funny how the Clinton administration forbid them to do an investigation or examine the plane debris and make their published PUBLIC report. We had the CIA give us a dummy video. Good thing the CIA has nothing to do with military intelligence, eh?

Oddly, enough I was stationed on the one the two navy salvage ships involved some years after the event. The CO, the Command Master Diver, and some of the more senior divers on board had all been involved with the recovery of debris.

Interesting. You have bravely and accurately pointed out that it was the Navy, not the NTSB. Good job, you have kept out any civillian oversight.

The only thing worse then a conspiracy addict is a conspiracy addict who tries to drag the U.S. Military into his paranoid delusions.

There is something much worse than that. It is the fear that some people have if anything would disturb the comfort level of their own belief. Go on believing my friend. Have a beer, have two; just ignore this loony thread and go on about your day. You will feel much better.

This whole thread is straight out of the loonybin.

A friend of mine with Boeing (now retired) spent a number of years training line pilots on the newest Boeing equipment their various companies had purchased from his company (Boeing). Typically the pilots from the airline purchasing the equipment would travel to Seattle. They would train on the new equipment for a period of time, then my friend would accompany them home with the new aircraft. Often times he would spend a month, or longer, flying line with these pilots until they were well versed in the new equipment ... then, they in turn would train pilots with their airline.
Bottom line, I specifically asked him about the exploding fuel tank as the cause of the TWA Flt.800 crash. My friend didn't rule it out entirely, but he was highly skeptical that a exploding fuel tank brought down the aircraft.

Same to you, you deftly avoid mentioning your earlier slandering of the U.S. military. Bravo. Last time I checked, the NTSB didn't operate ocean salvage vessels, but hey, just avoid that one entirely.

Indeed, it is truly a nefarious plot, is it not? Thousands of witnesses, Pakistanis in hotel rooms, weapons containers on the beach, corrupt FBI agents, the NTSB bought off, The USN in the tank, a widespread effort to confiscate of video tapes, and what hard evidence do you have to show us ten years later?

Jack squat, unless you count the ravings of some wingnut spinning fairytales on worldnetdaily.

What next, 9-11 coverups?

But the city of New York does. They were prohibited from the investigation along with their own police divers.

We could debate this ad infinitum and I must leave shortly.

Just one question for you Navy man; If the Navy test fired a missile and it misfired, hitting a civillian aircraft, do you think it would be beyond the Clinton administration and military to cover it up?

But the city of New York does. They were prohibited from the investigation along with their own police divers.

You are flat out smoking crack

An excerpt: By dawn, two harbor launch units and a fire boat had arrived from New York City. These boats brought scuba divers from the NYPD and the FDNY, as well as emergency medical technicians, who had travelled through the night to reach the crash-site.

All in all, New York City contributed three harbor units, three helicopters, and more than 100 members of the NYPD and more than 100 members of the FDNY were assigned to the effort, including as many as 48 divers.

These divers worked tirelessly at depths that exceeded 100 feet in the freezing, murky waters of the Atlantic, recovering the victims, and recovering the clues that we hoped would bring a resolution to this disaster. They've toiled for months in the most demanding conditions imaginable, and in fact, there are still dedicated, courageous NYPD divers assisting in the continuing effort. They were, and are, on the front lines, but behind the scenes there have been so many who contributed, providing support for the families and the workers.

It took 30 seconds of googling to find that. Let me guess, the NYPD harbor patrol was also silenced. You cranks are pitiful.

We could debate this ad infinitum and I must leave shortly.

This isn't a debate. It's a massacre. Leave while you've still got some self-respect.

Just one question for you Navy man; If the Navy test fired a missile and it misfired, hitting a civillian aircraft, do you think it would be beyond the Clinton administration and military to cover it up?

That'd be easy, just silence the entire ship's crew and their families.

Along with everyone in the chain of command from the SECDEF on down.

Since you stipulated that it was test firing, you'd also have to account for any contractors involved.

And let's not forget the range control officers.

We won't even get to the NTSB, local law enforcement, the Coast Guard, any crew of nearby merchant ships, or anybody else out on the water.

And how quickly was the bombing on the OU campus swept under the rug? This kid had been regularly going to Islamic gatherings, he lived with two Islamic roommates in an apartment that was stuffed with bombmaking materials. And surprisingly neither of the two roommates knew anything about it, whatever!!

You're absolutely right, Phoenix. Suicide without intent to harm others by explosive device outside a football stadium isn't exactly the normal mode of operation of the truly suicidal individual.

Fact is, it's in nobody's interest in government to accredit any violent activity to Muslim terrorists. The leftists in the media desperately want to keep Americans from waking up to the evil truth about Islam. The republicans desperately want to make it seem that the security policies of this White House will keep us safe regardless of the threat -- and as repeated by some of our own, the party line is "that there have been no terrorist attacks since 9/11" (a lie).

The only people left who are interested in actually attributing correct cause are people who love America more than they love power and I'm afraid that such patriots grow fewer by the day.

I don't remember the buried-weapons story.

I am convinced so far that this was a terrorist attack. The terrorists warned of one, and then there was that firecracker that went off at the Olympics and that poor man's life ruined--to make believe that was the incident that the threat was about.

Maybe the New York Times can find a leaker. Oh wait

I do think that there may be some initiative withing the Federal government, and very likely aided at the States level, to keep the general public ignorant of most of the facts of these kinds of cases. Whether the motive is to minimize the leaking of information gathered to a very hostile press, or to use it as a power play I really don't know. What I do know is this administration is doing a great job working with it's allies to stop the terrorists. How much actually implicity either directly or indirectly elements withing government have in some acts is still up for question, IMO. Baiscally, I want to give every American the benefit of the doubt when it comes to their patriotism, but you are right when you say that for some power is more important than patriotism.

Post #52, with the Hitler like character with George W. Bush under it and the Confederate flag flying next to him. Oh, and BTW, the Confederates weren't fascist, they were actually quite a liberal bunch. More akin to Libertarians, IMO.

So, again I ask, was it sarcasm, or do you view Mr. Bush as a fascist?

It is readily apparent to the casual observer that the diagram in question is a parody of conspiracy theories.

Which means, no, it is not sarcasm. It is a parody. It is satire. A mockery of the wheels-within-wheels of thinking of conspiracy theorists. For instance, TWA800 conspiracy theorists.

So, to put your mind to rest, let me assure you that I do not view Mr. President Bush as a fascist
