I suspected Burke as well, except the garrote was made by someone highly skilled in that particular "talent" and that makes me think that it couldn't have been Burke...

I toyed with the idea that Burke might have slammed her down the stairs and the parents did this macabre sort of cover up, but how could a parent even pretend to do that....its unfathomable.....

Are you from Tioga, Tx?

(Glad you meant them, not us.)

"The mother was fingered in the analysis, wasn't she?"

The results of analysis of Patsy's writing samples were "inconclusive". She could not be ruled out, or in, as the writer of the ransom note. So, she was not 'fingered' as the writer. There were similarities, but not enough for an expert to state she wrote the note.

I think it was an intruder.

I think theb intruder probably broke in when they were out and snooped around, found soemthing alluding to the 118K wrote the note.

Nah, not us ever. The media was in a stall after the war ended, now they have this. It's always something.

Interesting...Tioga, Tx is a small town north of Dallas, near the Red River and OK border. It was the birthplace of Gene Autry. I wonder how this obviously native american word got to be the name of towns so remote one from the other as TX and NY?

I can vouch for the validity of this story. Well, except that John decided on the names of all of the children, Lara had no say in the matter.

Here are a few more things that I haven't heard reported yet...

John met Lara when she was only 13 years old. He was introduced by one of her friends that liked his music (he played the guitar). Lara didn't sleep in the same room with him for the last five years of their marriage. Despite having lived with this sicko for over ten years, Lara is one of the most sane, stable, wonderful, caring, honest, Christian people you could ever hope to meet. She's also drop-dead gorgeous.

I would never question the foremost handwriting expert in Mt. Selman, Texas.

In fact I will have to set my TiVo to record the next episode of "C.S.I Mt. Selman."

Funny that you should mention that the photo of Ma Richards was doctored.

Seems like Democrats and their MSM accomplices specialize in this type of fraud. There are at least two photos of HRC in Time magazine this spring that were almost surely Photoshopped to improve her appearance!

Seems like Time Warner would like to save her some personal grooming and cosometic surgery expenses!

John used to talk about wanting to start his own cult. He had a fascination with David Koresh. He's also very short, like about 5'6", maybe 5'7". He wasn't as skinny back in 2001, he looked normal, well-dressed, and he was quite the slick talker. He could sell snow to eskimos. I do have a wierd story about the 2000 company Christmas party(he was there) if anyone is interested.

I only found out today about Burke's previous attack on JBR. The Ransom Note, if you think about it, with all the obvious references to cliches taken from movies, was written by someone really immature. Someone who might think all the kidnap plots he had watched in the movies were really cool. A ten year old who watched movies could write that note. Was Burke's handwriting ever analyzed? Not that I hold much stock in handwriting analysis, it's mostly voodoo nonsense, particularly if an effort is made to disguise the writing, which it appears was the case.

A very bright, but disturbed youth like Burke could be, could write that note. Then what do the parent's do? Try and protect him, possibly. Or build a wall that makes it impossible for them to see that it was Burke.

So Jon Ramsey wants to leave the country now? And take Burke with him? As to the knots, I know I was tying a whole series of knots as a boy scout around that age. It was a big deal that we had to learn a lot of the knots. And if memory serves me, we even had to make some kind of garrotish thing of some sort.

Unlike the Ramseys, we've never heard a word from Burke. Who shielded him so completely from the media?

And it also explains why PR would say JBR was asleep when they got home-- no interaction with Burke. I only wish they'd checked Burke's fluids that day to see if he had had pineapple as well.

Burke knew the layout of the house. He knew the bonus figure. He could get JBR in the cellar in a heartbeat. Maybe it's just been too difficult to think a little boy would do that to his sister, but apart from your concerns about the intricacies re the garrotte, what else naming him a suspect doesn't fit?

I saw one of the talking heads on tv say that the garrote method is not used by parents who kill their children in this country. I got the impression it's something used by assassins.

I'd feel a lot more confident about his analysis if it was a 'blind' comparision.

His conclusion is similiar to Karr being the only person in a lineup at the police station. "Is this the man who assaulted you?"

Heard on FOX tonight they had separate bedroom.....So he snuck out. Probably on more than one occasion.

Sneaking out at night to molest a neighborhood kid is one thing...sneaking out, making your way from Alabama to Colorado (and back),is an entirely different thing.

I agree. I really don't think Karr is the guy, but I will remain of the attitude that I just don't know until the evidence is there either way.
