I'm waiting for an explanation of how he happened to know the exact amount of the bonus that John Ramsey had just received or was about to receive. The claim that he was trying to kidnap her for ransom doesn't make much sense, what with all his blather about being in love with her, unless his plan was to get the money and keep her -- but if that was the plan, why didn't he get her out of the house fast?

I agree, there's a very real possibility that this guy didn't do it, and is just fantasizing that he did. His ex-wife climing he was with her in Alabama at the time lends support to that theory. What would her motivation be for protecting him and putting herself at serious legal risk? It doesn't sound like this guy has been sending home fat alimony or child support checks. As for how he could have come upon information about the crime that was never made public, given the places he hangs out, and the intense "research" he'd been conducting for years with various people who were interested in the case, I wouldn't be surprised if he got the info from the real killer (with or without realizing that his source was in fact the real killer).

Considering that he faces time in a Thai prison, someone last night said that if he were in that same situation he would plead guilty to kidnapping the Lindbergh baby if it meant that he would get to spend time in an American prison instead.

I agree. Something makes me think this guy was obsessed with her and somehow wants to identify with her, even if by being accused of killing her.

There is way more to this story I think. I'm not convinced he did it yet.

I think people are forgetting one important fact.

According to what I heard on FoxNews last night, the local authorities had told Patsy before she died in June that they were planning on arresting this guy. To me this means that they have strong evidence linking him to the crime. He may just be confessing to get sent back to the US instead of dying in the Thia jail.

They were talking about this on the Peter Boyles show out of Denver this morning. He kept extensive files on the case and was saying that a lot of things just don't add up here.

Right from the start the story made no sense at all. There was no way he could have written the ransom note because it contained too much personal information, he also said he kidnapped her but there is no evidence of her being removed from the home. Also the inside information he provided could have been very general in nature and be guessed by anyone with knowledge of crime scenes.

Did he also confess to being the Black Dahlia killer?

It is very strange...

Does it look like he might have AIDS and just doesn't want to die in Thailand?
