The NOTE takes on new meaning now that they have this guy. He attacks "John" directly and makes note of their southern ties.
Frankly, I see the note as being written before he went to the house that night on their paper etc. which means he was at the home before. If she was dead, there would be absolutely no sense in leaving the note behind.
Why leave the note?? He told us yesterday...he said her death was an accident. The note becomes evidence of that. He's very clever.
Hobbies per resume: writer/actor.
Go way back in his history to when he was a kid and we'll likely find that he was "queer". He's a geek, good looking and an introvert. Within a school or family situation he can function. Outside that, he can't.

Still haven't answered my question. Why do you assume that men are more likely to abuse children?
Since you have to be safe, while you're at it, why stop with child care responsibilities? Better make sure your son's Little League team has a female coach. She won't be able to bat or run and she'll throw, well, like a girl and know nothing about the game and your son's team will get their butts whipped but at least he'll be safe. I'm sure he'll love you for it. But then you never know, better keep tabs on that female coach too. She might have a "thing" for little boys. Don't worry about your daughter. She'll have female coaches I'm sure. But wait, worry about that too. There is such a thing as a lesbian pedophile. Although they are few and far between, the fact that there's even one or two means you should certainly avoid the whole situation.
In fact, if I were you, I wouldn't ever let them out of the house.
To carry this attitude further, since you can't be too careful, you should probably eliminate all non-relation male influence from your kids lives. Raise them entirely in the company of women. Teach them at an early age to mistrust every single man they ever meet. Their outlook on life will be warped but hey, they'll be safe. In fact, I'd keep them away from your husband on the presumption that he could turn on them as well. Sometimes husbands turn out to be sickos. That is, with your demonstrated attitude toward men, if you have one.
I taught engineering at a university for 14 years. I assumed without evidence that all the women students were irrational cows who couldn't handle the analytical concepts and would be better off spending their time breeding and caring for children. So I failed them ALL even though some showed an aptitude for the material. I wouldn't want one of them to design a bridge that would fall down or something. I was just being safe. Seems fair to me.

I didn't jump to conclusions about him. But if you don't jump to PR's defense on FR you get bashed big time. This is just not adding up to me yet.

Are you getting all the reporting on DVD so you can replay it when there's a lull in the reporting 10 years from now?

I didn't jump to conclusions about him. Sad to say, I did jump to conclusions.
I thought, 'No way would the prosecutor make an arrest in the Ramsey murder unless they had ALL of their ducks in a row.'
But maybe they would do something that dumb.

Glad to be here defending the honor of my half of the species.

When my two boys were growing up I had a teenage boy babysitter......my house was usually a wreck when I got home, but the boys had fun....I had him for years, he was very trust worthy.

When are the media and the talking heads going to apologize to the Ramseys for their vicious, and slanderous portrayal of them? Their incessant criticism of JonBenet's costume and the endless replays of her pageant video were designed to malign the now deceased mother with the purpose to convict her in public. The fools didn't mention that pedophiles rape and kill children indiscriminately, regardless of makeup or costumes. Ask John Walsh about it. As a matter of fact, I watched him on Larry King the day Patsy died, and he made it clear that Patsy and John were innocent.
Did you know that according to today's Washington Post, male DNA residue was found in her underwear, but police never reported a match for the sample? I can assure you that the sample didn't belong to anyone in the family or else one of them would be in jail by now.
Also, as per the WP, in a 2003 libel case, US District Judge Julie Carnes in Atlanta concluded 'the weight of the evidence is more consistent with a theory that an intruder killed JonBenet that it is with a theory that Mrs Ramsey did so.' Lacey, the district attorney in Boulder, issued a statement saying she shared that view.

Your statistics useful.
I have two daughters now fully grown. Many times we employed baby-sitters. I and my wife, just would never have employed a male. We did not even discuss this. Just never considered a male.
I put it down to just a "gut feeling". The bed rock of parental disgression.
To: Peter Libra
My BIL was babysat when he was 5 by a 12 year old boy in the neighborhood and was molested by him. I will never leave my 8 and 4 year old boys with any male at any time, cept if they are my sister's boys as I trust them. As a mother I have a good sense as to if I should leave my boys with a teenage girl or a teenage boy. Mostly my kids are left with grandparents, but I use the teenage girl next door who is very trustworthy and a cheerleader at the local high school. Just something about leaving them with a male gives me the creeps. I would never do that to my kids!

The media, as usual, is irresponsible. They don't have an interest in the story as much as they do for creating a titillating or otherwise intriguing innuendo. That's what gets people to tune in, whether we like it or not.
All the attention for Natalie Holloway, for example, hinged on the sexy story of an attractive blonde on vacation who meets a guy she is attracted to and (maybe for the first time ever) threw caution to the wind. Then she ends up missing - presumed dead. Sex sells, innuendo sells, etc.
How about that honeymooning couple on a cruise. Part of the hook of that story was that the newlywed wife may have paired off with some other guy the night her hubby went missing/murdered. Sexy! People tune in.
The truth may or may not have anything to do with the innuendo, but it's the innuendo that sells, and it damages people's lives.

>>>Chloroform might not show up in an autopsy-especially that little bit he would have used for someone Jon Benet's size.<<<
No drugs at all would have been needed to subdue that tiny girl. And whatever happened to Lou Smit's theory that she was subdued with a stungun?

I couldn't agree with you more. Well, said.

I see the note as a direct link to Patsy, and here is why:
Don Foster, a Vassar College professor, "the top-most authority in the nation in textual analysis -- the same expert who had unmasked the anonymous author of the sensational best-seller Primary Colors and that the FBI had used to identify Theodore Kacznski as the Unabomber Hunter" was asked to study the note.
"The documents he studied from Patsy Ramsey, in his opinion, formed 'a precise and unequivocal match' with the ransom note. He read a list of 'unique matches' with the note that included such things as her penchant for inventing private acronyms, spelling habits, indentation, alliterative phrasing, metaphors, grammar, vocabulary, frequent use of exclamation points, and even the format of her handwriting on the page"....
It goes on to say that this should have been more than enough evidence for the grand jury to indict, but the DA's office refused to allow this information to be heard. I don't know enough about the politics of the case to understand why, but here is a link to the entire report:

Don Foster, a Vassar College professor...Sorry, but he lost credibility right there.
