Now, for some fun questions to kick off tonights thread!
1. Have you been on a date with someone you met on the Internet?
2. Did the date go well? Did a relationship result?
3. Did you meet them on a dating site or elsewhere? Was it totally by accident or chance?
4. Do you have a funny, gross, scary, or otherwise entertaining internet dating story to share? Either one that happened to you, or someone you know.
5. Any funny or interesting meeting the parents stories?
6. Has meeting the parents ever caused a breakup?
7. And, finally, have you ever set up a backup scenario to get out of a potentially bad date?
Taking this to PM now....
Night!!!
Have fun tackling your desk!
No the computer does not freeze up it just closes internet exployer.
Sorry I should have said it when I am saving photos from the net.
Looks similar to IE to me except you have tabs at the side most of the same commands seem to be there
I was about your age when I started to go, Phil.
Just trying to get to where I can do things that my daughter's dad was trying to prevent me from.
Well that just stinks!
OK--a couple of things to consider:
-Using Firefox for the web browser--but retain WinExplorer for the file browsing (don't surf the net with it). By doing that, we can see if it's simply the browser or something else on the system.
Firefox can be downloaded for free at http://www.mozilla.com/firefox
-If you can, consider putting the pics on removable media (e.g. CD-RW, USB stick; or external hard drive).
It's a Mac--running on a PC!! 8^)
Actually, that's the SheepShaver emulator running. SheepShaver is a program that fully emulates a PowerPC Mac computer--however, the latest OS it can run is 9.04.
I picked up a copy of the OS at a rummage sale and then managed to make a CD image to use with the software--then installed it to a raw disk image (800MB).
Currently, I store this disk image on my USB stick (compressed, 92 MB)
OS 8.6 comes with IE 4.5 for Mac--and if you look carefully, the thread shown in the browser is in fact this Singles Thread 8^)
"My Dad and stepmother met on a pre-internet personals ad. Remember how in most cities they did the ones in the back of the newspaper?"
YES! My Dad was actually doing those too when he found his girlfriend on Match. I remember him having quite a few dates from the newspaper personals.
Good luck to your Dad and stepmom! I love to hear stories like theirs - it gives me even more hope!
