Internet Dating:

Meeting the Parents:

Now, for some fun questions to kick off tonight’s thread!

1. Have you been on a date with someone you met on the Internet?
2. Did the date go well? Did a relationship result?
3. Did you meet them on a dating site or elsewhere? Was it totally by accident or chance?
4. Do you have a funny, gross, scary, or otherwise entertaining internet dating story to share? Either one that happened to you, or someone you know.
5. Any funny or interesting “meeting the parents” stories?
6. Has meeting the parents ever caused a breakup?
7. And, finally, have you ever set up a “backup” scenario to get out of a potentially bad date?

Well, forget them!

Your dogs are obviously a lot smarter and more worthy of your time.

I think if you were riding you would have gotten MUCH more attention. You are prettier, nicer hair & better body. she got the attention because the other women were rather.. "fluffy"

1000 miles a year is still decent. the men I ride with are also conservative & have the same feelings about the bike clubs.

Same is true unfortunately with the kayak/canoe clubs. and the naturalistic /outdoorsy activities I love.

Most feel I am liberal because of my interests & being a vegetarian

OMG! You are too funny!! I haven't heard 'fluffy' used before!

Well...erm...truth be told I've gained "a few" pounds since that pic was taken of me (on my profile)...but I would have been in SECOND PLACE right before the fluffies.

well we can have fuzzies & fluffies here, okay?

I lost 40 this past year. I had slowly been putting it on. Because I am tall, I can carry it. But my knees & back were really feeling the extra weight & my clothes looked awful (the ones I could get into). I feel a lot better & am back in most of my clothes again

I don't know what the big deal was with that one girl. She looked..."deflated" to me.

The other women were all big-boned. As in, they had big gut bones.

Yeah. I think deflated is a good word. I think Fluffy Women are required to grow a gut bone, along with all the extra fluff.

Fluff fluff fluff.

Ask me if I like saying the word Fluff.

was ok. Had my family over for a bbq today, they just left around 11 pm. Was somewhat hard without my hubby, but was glad I still have my Dad to celebrate with.

yes I am sure for you it was a mixed bag. The unfairness of life is really there isn't it? Glad you still have your dad.

How old is dad? do you have children?

my Dad is 71 and not in the greatest of health. I have one son, he is 4 1/2. The hard part is he was 17 days old when his Daddy died, so I was thinking today as we were at the cemetery before church, that is really stinks that this is 5 Father's Days that he has missed out on and never even got one.
