The ***OFFICIAL*** Weekend Singles' Thread – Father’s Day Weekend (June 16 – 18, 2006)

Internet Dating:

Meeting the Parents:

Now, for some fun questions to kick off tonight’s thread!

1. Have you been on a date with someone you met on the Internet?
2. Did the date go well? Did a relationship result?
3. Did you meet them on a dating site or elsewhere? Was it totally by accident or chance?
4. Do you have a funny, gross, scary, or otherwise entertaining internet dating story to share? Either one that happened to you, or someone you know.
5. Any funny or interesting “meeting the parents” stories?
6. Has meeting the parents ever caused a breakup?
7. And, finally, have you ever set up a “backup” scenario to get out of a potentially bad date?

I guess that means we can pencil you in for that weekend & if someone is going crazy to host then, you will step aside?

That would work, or you could leave it blank in public to encourage someone else to give it a try. I'm happy either way.

Bill

yes.. a vacation of sorts.. no pay but no grief.

taking a few week break before you hit the roads? Any chance of you working on your own? Where is Cali are you(well, better not give too much info).. but might be able to link up with a few FReepers for something.

why don't you put out a few investigative posts on the state board. Looking for work type Or looking for opportunity/partnership for business (other than Amway)..opps sorry if there are any millionaire Amway folks I have offended.

Most I know are not too financially successful - they seem to enjoy the people, meetings & spirit of the work but the money isn't there

Thanks Dolly. I live in Silicon Valley (south of San Francisco). My recruiter called Friday PM. He may have another job lined up for me very soon. He's getting the interview lined up and I should know more on Monday or Tuesday.

I once stayed up all night simply because I never got around to going to bed.

That's why you need fuzzy little friends; to make up for your own vulnerable epidermal region.

Things have been busy over the past few weeks and I haven't had time to stop by.

See you next week or the week after that...

Well I hope you find employment that appreciates you & is worthy of you. You have a lot of spirit & warmth. Kill joys & jealous people will always rain on your parade. Smaller businesses seem to appreciate your type of person. THey know your good work/attitude will make the business thrive.

In larger businesses it is dog eat dog, it seems. No real goal for the business as much as making oneself look better, even if it means tearing another apart. Personal advancement is above company growth/goals. too bad.

I hope that you can have enough time to do the things you enjoy. For most of us we have a large amount of things to take our time & energy & we must make choices.

We always enjoy seeing you here! Hope married life is still treating you well. Loved your comment a few weeks ago about not yet "being treated like old socks" or something to that effect!
