Internet Dating:

Meeting the Parents:

Now, for some fun questions to kick off tonight’s thread!

1. Have you been on a date with someone you met on the Internet?
2. Did the date go well? Did a relationship result?
3. Did you meet them on a dating site or elsewhere? Was it totally by accident or chance?
4. Do you have a funny, gross, scary, or otherwise entertaining internet dating story to share? Either one that happened to you, or someone you know.
5. Any funny or interesting “meeting the parents” stories?
6. Has meeting the parents ever caused a breakup?
7. And, finally, have you ever set up a “backup” scenario to get out of a potentially bad date?

LOL! So long as you stay active, you never get 'old'!

It's just good, fun music! None of this "I-hate-myself-and-want-to-die" crap from the 90s or "nu-metal" crap of this decade.

OK, because I couldn't get to your questions last night...

1. Have you been on a date with someone you met on the Internet?

Nope. I was hoping to have something set up next month though (and really looking forward to it), but because I've been hit with two large bills and tuition, I'm literally going nowhere...

2. Did the date go well? Did a relationship result?

Not Applicable--for the record, never been on a date.

3. Did you meet them on a dating site or elsewhere? Was it totally by accident or chance?

Met her here. Don't really know how it happened--it just did...8^)

4. Do you have a funny, gross, scary, or otherwise entertaining internet dating story to share? Either one that happened to you, or someone you know.

Nope.

5. Any funny or interesting “meeting the parents” stories?

Nope.

6. Has meeting the parents ever caused a breakup?

Not applicable...

7. And, finally, have you ever set up a “backup” scenario to get out of a potentially bad date?

Haven't given it much thought--as I've never really had a reason to think about it. But I've weaseled my way out of things (in one case, a cousin's wedding) by legit reason (working and can't get off)

Just couldn't.

Just got back from the company picnic. Lots of fun, met a lot of my dad's coworkers, and watched the BoDeans play live...

The update went well, but took way longer than I expected (finished around 3am Central). Once it was done, I went to bed...

Absolutely. The 90s sucked, in no small part because of what passed for "music" then.
