Now, for some fun questions to kick off tonights thread!
1. Have you been on a date with someone you met on the Internet?
2. Did the date go well? Did a relationship result?
3. Did you meet them on a dating site or elsewhere? Was it totally by accident or chance?
4. Do you have a funny, gross, scary, or otherwise entertaining internet dating story to share? Either one that happened to you, or someone you know.
5. Any funny or interesting meeting the parents stories?
6. Has meeting the parents ever caused a breakup?
7. And, finally, have you ever set up a backup scenario to get out of a potentially bad date?
Sometimes getting legal is the only thing people understand, as I've found out lately.
A friend of mine was forced to retire early because of harrassment from her "fellow" HR co-workers. As to the lawyers, we had a corporate attorney in our office several years ago who thought he was a comedian. He'd go around the office teasing young women about their "redneck" roots, loudly announcing that all women belonged at home barefoot, pregnant, etc., and saying some of the most stereotypically racist stuff imaginable. I'm not a very PC person myself, but he was really over the top and a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Well, she quit her job so I dunno if there's any need to get legal.
Unless they keep calling her endlessly wanting to "talk about it" like they have.
Lol.
No one ever calls me to "talk about it" cause they know not to mess with me.
I left all my jobs pretty gracefully so there was no problem afterwards.
Oh really? Do tell.
Just because she decided to resign to save some personal pain, doesn't mean that she has no legal standing.
Did I tell you I got a call TODAY from the District Manager of the agency wanting to know what happened?
You are correct. It's called 'being forced out of your position' due to a hostile work environment.
I had to go to court in 2004 over money I was owed, the second time was about something that happened to me long ago, but this is the singles thread so I won't get into that here.
I had to do so.(quit jobs over harassment or threats.)
Once, when I was set up for a practical joke that went sour.
And then once before that, when I was 19, to keep from being homosexually assaulted.
Here's another question. How come I didn't see the thread on my ping page? Did I get knocked off the list?
Haven't been to one of those in a while(and I used to almost every weekend) *sigh*
No, I haven't dated anyone online, but I've met a few freepers personally. As a matter of fact, I hope you still remember this song, AC, lol.... time just flies, huh? It feels like yesterday...
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.
If I were to create a hostile environment for a fellow employee, where I am employed, it would be ME looking for another job.
As it should be.
Hey there,lovely!!
How goes the evening??
Thanks! Hope you have a fun weekend also! :-)
