I think that could be part of it... But something the attorneys mentioned the other day that hasn't received a lot of attention yet.. They said she had recognized players in the lineup that were not even in Durham during that time frame.

I read somewhere that the N&O only published the parts of Crystal's interview that agreed with the police report. Would they do that for the defense? I guess that was the deal they made with her.
I think the unindicted number four is the player who wasn't in town. I haven't followed it that closely, but I'm sure I read that somewhere.

I can't see much in that photo at all, least of all a tattoo. I see her bent over, dark skin, face not visible at all, hair hanging down, part of a reddish outfit with a white lace flounce on the top and a white stripe on the shorts/panty. Her arm is bent/curving forward and she seems to be holding something in her hand.
Is there a way to lighten up the photo? I really can't see much at all in it.
I suspect that Nifong has been getting a lot of people to 'turn' based on very flimsy, manufactured evidence. He may have a whole group of informants/friends, like Crystal, who he uses to get them to turn.
He probably thought he could get away with using his usual techniques on the Duke team without realizing the intense scrutiny the case would receive.
If so, there will be hundreds of cases that will be invalided once the full story comes out. Durham criminal lawyers will have a windfall. Durham will declare bankruptcy.
I'll be able to watch it and report.
The phto on the left is Kim, most likely in one of her calmer moments. I guess it is supposed to be sexy or romantic. Looks drugged or some porno queen's idea of subtle seduction.
I tried to lighten it up, but did not have much luck., But it was clearer when I opened in PSP.

I rummaged around and found a post from the day of the indictment. I think it was right after Evans made his speech:
On Sean Hannity--Kimberly Guillfoyle says she can't see how Reade Selligman could have committed the crime. Says Nifong must come up with something he hasn't shown yet to have a case. Sounded like she's thrown in the towel.
I would throw that at there as a possibility as well. Again, there were rumors early on that one of the players she indentified as her attacker was not in Durham at the time.
Could that be the mysterious 4th man?
Would that explain why the investigator did not follow up on that first indentification?
Of course, I'm just speculating, but no one has of yet answered why that first ID was basically ignored.
