ESPN radio suggested this morning (heard by Mr.RecallMoran--so this is hearsay) that the media does have a piece of blockbuster information that the defense has asked them not to release. (Said in passing)
Possibly why the talking heads have started flipping so fast and hard.
Mr. RecallMoran thinks it has to do with Finnerty's alibi.

Well, the Duke case is about money. So is media. Controversy sells.....even dimwitted controversy by the likes of BOR and Whorealdo. :-)
thanks for that tidbit, i had read something in the midst of a thread earlier this AM and am dying of curiousity. if it has the fishmouthed guilfoyle turned around on this case it has to be pretty substantial.
So the real motivation in print, not just our speculation.

I agree that nobody has or will turn. The point that I was making is that "nothing to turn" is not an absolute barrier to turning. Everyone, once the law is coming at them, or at least everyone who is risk averse, has an incentive to cop a plea whether guilty or not.
Then that makes this year a boom year for her if she had $2000 on her and it was only the fourth month. I believe aint no one here thinks she declares all her earnings. You hit it on the head. :)
The relegation to the sports section means:
1. The defense is carrying the day.
2. The feminazis and race baiters are not that interested any more because of point 1.
3. Thus the only interested readers or really the only readers interested unless the worm turns against the indicted players are readers of the sports page, I guess.

I was releived when I googled my doctor that just did my Lazik that his wife was a Repubican donor. You just figure that they're smarter and more ethical!
I think the page is just arranged badly. Click on Kim Roberts and it takes you to a picture of her. It is one of her interview pictures, I believe.
There is also a link that takes you to more pictures (unsubstantiated?) pictures of Crystal Mangum. They include the one labeled "Kim Roberts" plus more from the same photo shoot.
We think that Finnerty can prove that he wasn't there at all but they want Nifong to commit to a timeline first. If one of the IDed attackers wasn't there then her IDs of the other two are shot. Nifong is getting beat up in the press so badly right now it seems that he would cough up at least "I have additional evidence" if he had ANYTHING at all. I am skeptical about the press knowing something and not telling though---if you can reveal items of national security why would you keep quiet about this?
I have seen the Newsweek snoot. I agree she is not nearly as clever as she thinks she is. She is not recognizable enough to me yet that I turn the channel when she is on ala Grace, Murphy etal.
Under normal circumstances, I would agree. But I don't see that happening with this group. For one thing, any admission to a lesser offense will still look like guilt as to the original charge when viewed down the road, unless you're talking about an extremely minor infraction - spitting on the sidewalk, so to speak - which would not be realistic in view of the current charges levied.
When does the hearing start?
i was hoping that's why Finnerty's lawyer was playing it so close to the vest. Nifong deserves nothing less than total annihilation.
