May 13, 2006 — The second round of DNA test results in the Duke University rape investigation show "no conclusive match'' to any lacrosse players, defense attorneys said, but a vaginal swab of the alleged rape victim produced DNA from a "single male source'' — a man not on the lacrosse team who did not attend a March 13 party that was the site of the alleged rape.

Defense attorney Joe Chesire declined to identify the mystery man or his connection to the alleged victim, but ABC News' Law and Justice Unit has learned that the unnamed source of the DNA is the alleged victim's "boyfriend," according to her mother.
ABC News is withholding the name of the man because he is apparently not a target of the investigation. Records indicate that Durham, N.C., police gave the "boyfriend'' a cheek swab to collect DNA on May 3, ABC News' Law and Justice Unit has learned exclusively.
It is unclear if or how the first DNA tests missed what appears to be the only foreign genetic material found on the alleged victim's body, defense attorneys said. Two Duke lacrosse players were indicted more than two weeks before the cheek swab was taken from the "boyfriend."
It is also unclear whether the alleged victim had sex with the "boyfriend" the night she claims to have been raped by three Duke lacrosse players. DNA experts tell ABC News that genetic traces of semen can remain in the body up to six days after intercouse.

Everybody involved in this fiasco looks tawdry and dirty, from the whore to her family, and friend, to the prosecutor. Tom Wolfe needs to write a "Bonfire II" about this mess, just to put it all in perspective.
He appears to not want to deal with these new facts, as he is convinced the Duke lacross players have got to be guilty of SOMETHING!
And he doesn't ever admit he's wrong, so he's just kickin' up some dust.

He can't he's in too deep. The soundbites the sheeple will understand is: the only DNA found was from CM's 'boyfriend' and the fool indicted three lacross players.
It's too close to the election and there would be a real risk of a recall. Not because the town wants jutice; they're just a laughing stock and Nifong could take the fall.
That being said, even if Nifong KNOWS thiese kids are innocent - he is one evil bastard and will continue to ruin their lives to stay out of traffic court.

And perhaps the Wake County investigator Mangum shares some of the same DNA as the false accuser?
Those fellows are all sweethearts. They are also identified as having had a "high ranking team" in some of those gambling threads.

That was Cheshire, if you mean the one who said the results showed she hadn't had sex with anyone for days. Either he misspoke or the SBI results omitted that vital semen info.
Weird, but not trollish.
And, he dislikes the Duke lacrosse team, probably because they're rich white guys. That's why he focuses on their rap sheets instead of the trollop stripper, who can't get her story straight and is the spitting image, at least in her behavior, of Kate Faber, the accuser of Kobie Bryant, whose encounter with Bryant was sandwiched in between sexual trysts with two different men, all within 72 hours.
I wish xoxoxox wasn't quite as cryptic as s/he's been. Or I wish someone could figure out what s/he's saying. (And I wish I'd get a freepmail with either answer.)
