Speaking in front of a packed crowd of students and community members one of whom pointed out that MacFarlanes sister used to baby sit her years ago in Connecticut MacFarlane touched on his shows recent rivalry with Comedy Centrals "South Park," as well as his ongoing battle with government and network censors...

>>Family Guy visits Farm (Seth MacFarlane talks about his show, the FCC, and South Park)
The Stanford Daily ^ | April 19, 2006 | Patrick Fitzgerald<<
1. Great find Evenginstar
2. Good to know Patrick Fitzgerald has a backup profession lined up in case that whole Libby prosecution thing doesn't work out.
Macfarlane looks like Jackie Gleason's forgotten son.
The guy looke like a big douchebag.
No, he looks like a turd!
That's pretty much what I thought when I saw his picture.
But no laughter. His forays into politics have been noticably unfunny.
MacFarlane offered insight into the shows constant tug-of-war with censorship.
Ah, yes, the FCC persecution complex. Interestingly enough, Seth, South Park has no problems whatsoever with the FCC. he told the audience that much of the scrutiny placed on network shows focuses on the amount of inappropriate language, as well as [excrement] jokes.
Yeah, well, Seth, if you want to make money out of the public airwaves, you have to play the public game. Don't like it? Go to cable. Or HBO.
Turd sandwich.
I can't post the appropriate graphic here, so just close your eyes and pretend that I did. ;)
his show can be funny but he's a big lib of course and likes to put down W on the show. Haven't watched in awhile.
I think Quagmire was inspired by horny Bubba Clinton (one ep. even had Quagmire as the President, and he bore a bit of a resemblance to
Clinton...)
Whatever you say about the dude, Stewie has some kick-ass lines.
He's a good voice actor, as well. He does all the male voices on the show minus Cleveland and Chris.
he looks like the biggest douche in the universe...
So much for cutting edge on issues eh? I've watched it a few times. It's funny for what it is but it's no South Park
I've never seen the show. However, I did go to the site and I watched some clips while I was there.
I read that too. That can't be right. Must be a typo.
I don't know. From the episodes I've seen, the jokes don't talk a lot about current events. They're political yes but I've never heard them joke about something that's happened in the past few weeks from an episode
