But no laughter. His forays into politics have been noticably unfunny.

MacFarlane offered insight into the show’s constant tug-of-war with censorship.

Ah, yes, the FCC persecution complex. Interestingly enough, Seth, South Park has no problems whatsoever with the FCC. he told the audience that much of the scrutiny placed on network shows focuses on the amount of inappropriate language, as well as “[excrement] jokes.”

Yeah, well, Seth, if you want to make money out of the public airwaves, you have to play the public game. Don't like it? Go to cable. Or HBO.

The ASSU Speakers Bureau continues its series next Monday with Palestinian democratic activist Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, and Wednesday with former U.S. Senator and vice presidential candidate John Edwards. Both events will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium on their respective dates.
