Why do most Pyschics or Mediums Seem to be Liberal?
self | 04/20/2006 | Pippin

Posted on 04/20/2006 9:56:03 AM PDT by Pippin

This is just a curiosity I have from my "travels" throught the internet and "google".

Now, after about 4 years of being a Freeper, I really do have fun here!

I've met lot's a different people from all over this country and also from other countries.

Most of you know me by now (I know, the trouble maker from MD! LOL!)

My question and comment has very little to do with politics (Or shouldn't have).

I have been looking up info on psychics and thier predictions on variuos websites and listings.

I've read all sorts of "predictions" that seem to paint a very dark picture of the future, both of our nation and President Bush and indeed the world.

Most predictors seem to have made predictions with a very liberal bent.

even one that claimed President Bush is a medium or a psychic!

others say he'll either resign by the end of this year under scandal or he'll go crazy or get very ill and die or be assasinated.

No mention of impeachment, but I'm sure it's coming!

All this leads to my question

Aren't there any Conservative Psychics or mediums?

Why do the ones I read about tend to be left-leaning Bush/America-hating liberals?

Am I missing something here?

I'll have to tell you something (at risk of being called crazy)

I do have limited psychic abilities, but I am not getting any major vibes making outlandish claims.

I am a Conservative Christian and don't think there is anything wrong with having certain abilities, you just have to be careful of were these abilities come from.

God can bestow these gifts on a person and that is good

but, be careful that they ARE from God, and not the Devil.

God bless all of you!

Don't argue with closed minded folks

They are a waste of time and energy.

YOU can be as "psychic" as you like however I so not endorse sorcery. Sorcery is not something a Christian engages in due to the source of the info..

YOU can be as ignorant as you like, however I do not endorse stereotypes. Stereotyping is not something humans engagne in due to the source of th einfo.

Since I don't actuvely try to get info and just happen to be the messenger, myabe you should consider that it is GOD. If you imply that it is from Satan, then you are hypocritical.

"Psychics are typically liberal because they are godless. They have NO moral boundaries. Psychics don't worship the Judeo Christian God ... it's the other one they adore."

You couldn't be more ignorant and wrong.

Ok, I'm back with the info about Randi:

In 1990, Uri Geller sued him for claiming that Dr. Wilbur Franklin of Kent State University committed suicide b/c he was ashamed that Randi discredited Geller. He actually died of natural causes, and Randi lost the lawsuit and was ordered to pay half a million $ along with the paper that published his comment. Randi claims to have never lost a lawsuit to Geller, an unabashed lie.

Geller has sued CSICOP, gaining written acknowledgement of error from both the American and British branches.

In 1993, a Baltimore jury found Randi guilty of libel with malice for referring to Elton Byrd as "in jail as a convicted child molester" which was not true. Randi has lied many times since, claiming to have won the case. Ironically, there is a transcript and tape of Randi having "intimate sexual conversations with teenage boys."

The information is from Jonathan Margolis' biography of Geller. Margolis started the book and research as a skeptic and finished with the understanding that current physical theories are inadequate.

Regarding the Lindbergh child, it seems my memory failed me regarding the police confirming one of Cayce's purported locations. However, it is widely suggested that Hauptmann did not act alone, from the local police to the governor's office at the time. At any rate, Edgar Cayce is not the guy I would present as evidence of a psychic reality.

It is only a matter of time before the unassailable evidence of mind-to-mind connections and a "psychic" reality breaks through the conventional scientific bias. It has worked this way for centuries, from Galileo to Newton to Einstein, and it will work again.

I would think depending on what the feelings are and how they are used, they might actually be considered a gift from God. Personally, I think people who have psychic abilities are just more in tune. For the longest time I couldn't put a name to a lot of feelings I have. I am a bit of an empath. It can help, because I might know when someone needs someone to talk to. It can really help when my children are in trouble, because it's easy to tell who is lying (and the kids just think it's amazing). It can be bad when I feel overwhelmed about too much so-called energy. Scientifically, I would just be considered more observant. Because we don't always observe just with our eyes. It is really hard for me to explain, since it is something I just do.

Don't have a clue, but I do know an elderly woman who does Tarrot cards (I'm not into that and have never been read and never will be, but she has many customers who swear by her). She registered and voted for the first time in her life in 2004 specifically to vote against John Kerry because she saw "evil" in Teresa! And her opinion of Hillary is even lower.

Sounds like what I've experianced aq lot of since childhood.

I'd get "feelings" and premonitions that I was unable to describe. I'll be focusung on an event or a person and then something that would happen or what someone was going to say or do and it happens. But I can't explain how I knew it ahead of time.

For the most part, I agree and that is the way I look at all the "psychic" stuff. She has excellent insight into people's personalities. But there are some things I have seen her do that defy my meager powers of logic. And frankly, I don't want to know what's going on. It gives me the creeps.

You know what is kind of cool is that even I have been outed as to what I do and such, I am still safely anonymous.

I know that the message will get to the masses and I will probably still be anonymous then, too.

I kind a like it that way.

Y'know, Flightdeck, when posting screeds that purportedly contain facts about Mr. Randi and Mr. Geller, it's imperative to post links to your sources. I did it, Ichneumon did it, TBP did it... Please extend the same courtesy.

Kate, if you wish to remain so, I'd politely suggest that you remove the photo of yourself on your FReeper homepage. And the link to your personal site with your PO Box address. And your whole personal site itself because that often gives people who wish to find out one's identity all the info they need.

Just trying to help.

Maybe you didn't read my post carefully. I posted the book the FACTS are excerpted from. Forgive me for not scanning it page by page and uploading it to my homepage. Randi is a POS liar.

Unless one posts here and read it and/or posts at a private site that is just mediums, I am not too concerned. It isn't like you are going to send Geraldo after me. Or better yet, send Michael Moore adn let him unravel a God made conspiracy and put his suspicious spin on it.

Points to ponder...how is it that my mom went to school with Maureen Reagan and my dad work with #41 and Goldwater and the Dulles men and then later my parents married...clearly a Bush 43 plot for me to describe what I see to him and isn't it odd that it was discovered that I could CRV to two places at once under the Reagan administration?

I feel very fortunate and very blessed to have the grace of God to do what I do. My early visions were very religious in nature.

I also know that it was through God that we had the courage to question each other of our visions.

I know that there are freepers that believe us openly and will not condemn nor chastise.

I also believe that if anyone gets curious, I can handle it. To say I enjoy my privacy now is also saying that I know it can change and I don't care what the debunkers have to say.

I can't explain what happens, I just know that it does and that's that.

I am not Yoda and I don't bend spoons.

Hey, CurlyBill,

I was wondering if you were aware of this particular post.

My friend, Pippin, started it and it has made for lively debate.

I have not gone back and responded to the naysayers on a one to one basis, as I have been a bit busy with other matters, but thought I would share. Ping if you want...

Kate
