I was wondering if you were aware of this particular post.
My friend, Pippin, started it and it has made for lively debate.
I have not gone back and responded to the naysayers on a one to one basis, as I have been a bit busy with other matters, but thought I would share. Ping if you want...

I have not seen this post. As you probably know from my posts, I don't really care much for psychics. I think that most are just clever fakes that are just in it for the money... taking advantage of vulnerable people who have just lost a loved one. Why are most left wingers? I suppose this is because most are swindlers just like their brethren in the Democrat Party. Other psychics are just plain nuts. I suppose there are a rare few who need to be looked at a bit further, but certainly with a skeptical eye. When I look at ghost sightings and investigations, I get into the science of it. Someone walking through a building with "feelings" and stuff like that does nothing for me. I consider myself an open minded skeptic. I just happen to believe that most of these "psychics' are self-appointed frauds.
I hit the post button a bit early... I was going to add that these charlatans that I mentioned, have given the whole field a bad name. If this is indeed a gift, I believe it is far more rare than those out there who are profiting from it. I would be more inclined to listen to one who really doesn't market themselves and does things behind the scenes rather than those on the shows that we see from time to time. I guess my opinions are based on the fact that I've never had anyone give ME conclusive proof that they are psychic. Perhaps I will have a change of heart someday. After all... I am open minded.
