There's too much to give everything, but I'll repost the links I have again. There are summaries available, but you have to know what posters have accurate info and who is reporting rumors.

Some of the sites are conservative, some liberal, but most of these sites have listened to everyone who has something to say.

On the long Natalee thread on this site, I have been condemned to hell and much worse. Some posts were even deleted that were sent to me, because of abuse. I was very disappointed in the Free Republic crowd. Joran and the Kalpoes should never have been convicted in the press without both sides being presented. It wasn't until Joran was allowed to tell his story did we hear the other side. Now that Joe Tacopina has been able to obtain the police reports, we are finding out what evidence ALE has that points away from Joran and the Kalpoes. The security shirt was found about 8 days after Natalee disappeared.

Also, Like Joe T. says, I hope this new suspect gets fair treatment by our media.

I was 100% convinced that Joran was guilty until I saw him interviewed. Unlike Scott Peterson, he wasn't cocky or smarmy. I wanted to despise the kid but couldn't.

I was as well and frankly have not felt the same way about Free Republic since the abuse I received for offering a different point of view. This case has been nothing but rumors because the authorities in Aruba do not discuss evidence with media. Beth Twitty, family and media have been reckless in their conjecture in this case. As an example, I was reading another post in this thread and one poster stated as fact, that Natalee was given a date rape drug from Joran. This was something Beth Twitty offered as to why her daughter left with someone. There is absolutely no evidence that she was given drugs, yet it has been offered time and time again as fact simply because a grieving mother offered it as an explanation as to why she would leave with strangers.

I can understand your [for lack of a better word] indignation. This is an opinion forum, as I understand it, and as such your opinions are as valid as anyone's.

I think the whole island is a nasty little den of iniquity and the locals float along like flotsam and jetsum in the sea of life. Too many people have said they were approached to buy drugs on every corner in the place.

I don't see drug enforcement as any bigger a priority there than any other crimes that obviously go on, and with some apparent regularity.

I know this is late in posting, but...I have had a problem with this case from day one. I am really tired of hearing how the Aruban officials screwed everything up when nobody knows what they know or what they are investigating. Beth has denied ever saying that Natalie had fallen in love with a blond haired blue eyed boy, but then Greta had on the lady who said Beth had said it to her, I can't remember the ladies name, but she is a blond journalist who has been on Greta quite a bit...one is lying or "distorting" who is to say which one? There have also been a lot of rumors started by the Hollaway family that have been disproved. I think that there is a good chance that this could have been solved or at least on its way if it weren't for the media and the Hollaways. Jorans lawyer has also been stating that Joran never ID'd the 2 securtity guards, he didn't change his story over and over and over like everyone is reporting...he lied about dropping her off at the hotel, and about how he got home. You can read your own reasons as to why he would do that....could be because he is guilty, could be because he didn't want to get in trouble for leaving her on the beach. I wasn't there so I don't know.

Natalies cell phone and camera are news to me, why doesn't Beth hand them over to the FBI if she doesn't want the Arubans seeing them, IF she is refusing to hand them over, that tells me she is hiding something, but could just be another rumor...

This case and the Duke case have me totally worried about my boys...what if all of the accused are innocent? Is is worth the chance of ruining an innocent persons life because you "think" they committed the crime? And what about a guilty person getting away with it because everyone becomes numb by all the constant coverage. I hadn't watched H&C or Greta for about 7-8 months and was shocked that Natalie is still on at least 4 times a week!
