I was 100% convinced that Joran was guilty until I saw him interviewed. Unlike Scott Peterson, he wasn't cocky or smarmy. I wanted to despise the kid but couldn't.

I thought he was more than likely guilty too in the beginning. It wasn't until I was run off the Natalee thread did I find out a lot of info that hasn't been reported. I was run off for defending others and saying that there wasn't enough evidence against Joran. I defended citizenM whose own son was shot by an unknown assailant. He is still alive, but blind. She could not identify with Beth, even though she had a similar thing happen to her.
I believe in innocent until proven guilty, but the more I hear about Joran I definitely think he is innocent.
Anyway, it is too early to know if this new kid had anything to do with Natalee's disappearance, but I can say this name was mentioned early on in the investigation when the shirt was discovered and his father's security company was contacted. I wonder if VanStratten had stayed on the case, if he would have been checked out more thoroughly in the beginning and other leads followed up like the alleged break-in to Natalee's room or the man who accosted the jogger a few days before Natalee disappeared.
