I was as well and frankly have not felt the same way about Free Republic since the abuse I received for offering a different point of view. This case has been nothing but rumors because the authorities in Aruba do not discuss evidence with media. Beth Twitty, family and media have been reckless in their conjecture in this case. As an example, I was reading another post in this thread and one poster stated as fact, that Natalee was given a date rape drug from Joran. This was something Beth Twitty offered as to why her daughter left with someone. There is absolutely no evidence that she was given drugs, yet it has been offered time and time again as fact simply because a grieving mother offered it as an explanation as to why she would leave with strangers.

Toespi - I agree that rumor becomes fact runs RAMPANT on the main Natalee thread...
I pop in now and then - just to see what's happening - tho' I find other sites to be more current with a VARIETY of info .. rather than just what a few people want to discuss.
