How many human beings are killed every year by vicious Chihuahuas?
The equalizer:
ANY dog can be mean; all depends on the owner.
Nice post dear...I concur wholeheartedly
How does that work?
I jog and I hate dog people, WTF you know how many times I get snapped at by the dog that "NEVER DID THAT BEFORE" even my neighbors dog bit me, but oh lo and behold "SHE NEVER DID THAT BEFORE". These dog people take there dogs to the park the sign says "LAW - DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH" yet 99% think there dog is a good doggie and never bites anyone. Well every DOG that I jog past chases me and it pisses me off... cause evertime the "NIP" me I get the same old... "NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE" bullshit... If you own a DOG please KEEP IT ON A FREAKING LEASE!!!!
And ANY DOG can bite. Keep em on a leash when in public. If you want them to run free.. buy a freaking farm.
Spooky.
It is peculiar the number of so-called conservatives who wish for a breed of dog to "outlawed" because they feel the dogs can't be controlled by humans. Hey, haven't we heard that technique utilized by liberals when they complain about firearms ownership?
I've owned one pitbull in my lifetime and have known two others. All three of these dogs were simultaneously loyal, comical, protective, and friendly. It is all in the mindset of the owner and the conditions in which a dog is raised.

"...If you own a DOG please KEEP IT ON A FREAKING LEASE!!!!"
If one already owns the dog, why would they lease it? Leasing gets to be expensive when compared to owning a dog. I paid cash-in-full and was able to leave the dog shelter with my new pitbull. They even spayed her at no extra cost, but they probably would have done that whether I leased her or simply purchased the dog.

Not the mailmans best friend

"...David Kierna, Grandwood Parks mailman.
Kierna has walked this route in unincorporated Gurnee dubbed by postal workers as the most dangerous in Lake County hundreds of times. He lives in the neighborhood and knows which houses have dogs.
But being attacked by a Labrador retriever Christmas Eve has made him nervous. He did not hear the animal before it darted from an open garage and lunged at him. The house, until then, had been silent.
It can get pretty crazy, he said, recalling the encounter while stuffing mail into his satchel, the only real protection he has. Ive been doing this 18 years. It happens fast.
(snip)
"In Kiernas case, he did everything he was trained to do. He tried pepper spray. He used his satchel as cover, but when that went flying, he blocked his face with his arm instead.
The dogs owner intervened, saving Kierna from further attack. It was a close call. Too close, judging by the holes in his navy blue uniform sweater.
Kierna has been attacked more than 30 times in his career, but he had never been bitten until then. Ever since, he hasnt been the same."

If it's one...then I guess that would be too many? What about the non-bully breeds that bites the tens-of thousands that maim and disfigure, but doesn't kill?
What struck me as odd.

What about a baby?
It has finally happened. Philadelphia has quite literally gone to the dogs.
Yawn....From this week.
Pitbull Owner Thinks Pregnancy Had Something to do with Attack
http://www.wavy.com/Global/story.asp?S=4713620
The owner of a dog that bit a mailman Saturday thinks that the pitbull's pregnancy had something to do with the attack.
A neighbor and police fired warning shots to get the dog to stop. The pitbull eventually retreated, but not before the postal worker got a puncture wound in his leg.
China's owner, Heather Sandgren, says the dog is expected to give birth in the following weeks.
Sandgren thinks the dog's delicate condition may have caused the attack.
Sandgren was cited for having a dangerous dog. She says she is willing to make physical improvements at her home to keep the dog from getting out.
A judge will hear the case May 2.
Hey there! Did y'all have any tornados near you last night? I heard parts of your town got hammered!
