Ok. It has been an Ok visit. But I am tired and am getting homesick. I want to go home now.
I have seen enough of this "alternate universe". A place where evil is applauded and celebrated, and righteousness and morality are castigated. A place where the sacred vows of marriage are laughed at, and considered "irrelevant" and "outdated". Where even the very institution of marriage itself is being challenged, to be turned into "whatever we want it to be".
I have seen enough of this alien universe, where enemies of the people, who kill and injure its citizens are NOT called "killers" terrorists " or Barbarians", but are called "freedom fighters" or "resistance". Where Criminals are given a pass, and the courts find someone or something else to blame for their crimes, such as what happened to their great-great-great grandfathers.
But instead it is a place where hard working,moral people can have their homes and rights taken away , so that the rich and powerful can have their golf courses.
I have seen enough of this parallel world, where the life of the innocent, unborn or just-born are sunffed out, with less regard than that of a bug. A universe where peoples lives can be "terminated" at the whim of a "spouse".
I am sick of hearing how "we must be tolerant" and allow filth and perversion to be taught to children as "normal" and am sick of hearing that "waiting for marriage is twisted, old'fashioned and out of touch with reality". Not in my world, it isn't.
In this strange land, Churches are no longer teaching the true word of our creator. Rather, they teach "tolerance and "diversity" and that "we must be inclusive of all other religions". At the same time, they no longer preach about sin, do not protect the unborn and sit by and allow marriage to be forever destroyed.
And in this odd place, the news media is NOT on the side of most of the populace, Rather, it seems to be on the side of these peoples enemies, and works to destroy the very fabric of families, freedom and morality.
SO.......... I have had enough I want to go home, to my world. Where things are the way they should be, and not inside-out, and upside down, like this strange place. Where integrity and morality are celebrated, not shunned. where our fighting men and women are honored for their sacrifice,not lampooned. Where marriage and sexual purity is honored, not laughed at. Where the sacred life of the unborn is held above all else. Where Criminals get their dues, and private property and rights are protected. And where evil and perversion are nowhere to be found.
SO, how much longer before I can go home to my world?? Please, I'm REALLY getting homesick now!!!!

We chose to turn off our tv for 40 days and spend more time with the Lord.

It just gets old, when it seems like you are a lone voice out in the wilderness for normalcy, and most everyone else says "don't rock the boat".
I hope you understand what I mean.
If those were the worst flames I got here, I would not even notice them.
Compared to some of the things that have been directed my way over the years, that is about as hot as liquid nitrogen.
There are over 40 million married couples in the USA, and 2 million more are added every year. About 1 million divorces a year from that pool.
I don't think marriage is becoming extinct. There are certainly some people who want to change the definition of marriage. I'm against that on all fronts, so I'm with you there. While some people look to advance same sex marriage and polygamy, others look to change the financial aspect of marriage. I'm against all of that - I'm happy the way it is: imperfect but good enough.
I don't think its as bad as you think, in regards to marriage, anyway.

Remember Jesus said we are in the world, but not of the world. While the world gets deeper in sin and darkness, the Lord will give us His ways and light to follow.
It does get weary for many of us who want to live pleasing to the Lord. But God will give us strength to hold on to Him.
It helps to think how the early disciples and apostles went through much persecution (and for some even death) just for their faith in Jesus. If we share in His sufferings, we will also share in His glory.
It also helps me to keep in mind that God, in His time, will put down all evil. He still is in complete control-- and though we don't always understand why evil is allowed to triumph for a season, He is a righteous God, and His righteousness will prevail.
In all seriousness I too have occasionally thought I want to "go home." My reasons might be different that the ones you posted, but still, I have realized that this world is not at all my home.
Well, glad you got it fixed.
I'd say no flames have started here...yet.
