I'd say no flames have started here...yet.

I'm glad it's going nice so far.

I think many of us who read the post have thought the same thing. We look around and are appalled by the contradictions. Our creator knows and understands. He gave us free will. But remember the powerful example of the incident when the mob was given a choice between Jesus and Barabbas. The mob, when given the chance to release a good man, or release an evil man, chose to release the evil one. Yet, in the midst of all that cruelty, one man stepped forward and volunteered to help carry the cross for Jesus. Imagine that! No one expected him to do it, no one paid him, and other than Jesus, I doubt that anyone thanked him. Yet, Jesus knew who helped!

That about sums it up for the rest of us. Jesus knows the contradictions around us. Yet, I think he would want us to do what we can, within our resources and abilities, to help others. He knows we are often like the blind man who helps the lame man walk, who in turn helps the blind man get around. That's what we are here for. We have a choice. We can join the crowd that celebrates evil, or we can lift a burden, if even for a short time, for someone else. You may not hear it, but from the softness - a voice: "Thank you friend. Inasmuch as you freely do this for another, you have done it for me."
