Well, folks, it's finally here - the most eagerly awaited South Park episode in recent memory!

He's Back!!! Chef Returns to South Park

The launch of "South Park’s" 10th season is marked by the triumphant homecoming of school chef, Jerome McElroy. "The Return of Chef!," premieres tonight, Wednesday, March 22 at 10:00 p.m., on Comedy Central.

The town is jolted out of a case of the doldrums when Chef suddenly reappears. While Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman are thrilled to have their old friend back, they notice that something about Chef seems different. When Chef’s strange behavior starts getting him in trouble, the boys pull out all the stops to save him.

They will have to pay Issac for the use of his voice. Now that is funny too!

I believe he'd still get residuals from the use of his voice. All depends on what his contract says.

He will get residuals and he was in this episode even though his voice was used from past shows. Per SAG and AFTRA rules, he must be paid.

Do you know if South Park is SAG or AFTRA? So many of the shows now (reality, etc.) are AFTRA.

OK, is anybody elkse seriously disapointed? On the one hand they did a very effective job of scewering Scientology in a way that they can't be effectively sued... but I was really expecting it to be funny.

Yes, they definitely were successful in acheiving their goals. It's just that being funny wasn't one of them this time. :-/

Similar except that Homer wasn't impaled and attacked when he got to the bottom.

If you take it out of context, no it wasn't funny. If you know the background of the controversy, however, and catch the jokes and references to past episodes, it's a howl. That's the whole point of satire. I don't know if I'd put them up with Jonathan Swift just yet, but it's the same idea. If you read "A Modest Proposal" without knowing the history behind it, it falls flat or reads like some kind of horror story. If you realize that kids were being worked to death and treated like garbage, the humor of the piece becomes more clear.

Matt and Trey can say if Scientology wants to compare themselves to a brainwashing pedophile cult they can all they want.

And that is the genious of the episode : ) I almost wish for Tom Cruise to say something now : ) Matt and Trey dotted every i and crossed every t to make sure they were in the pink : )

Youre exactly right.

Yet at the same time you obviously dont understand the humor associated with it.

Its called satire:
Irony, sarcasm, or caustic wit used to attack or expose folly, vice, or stupidity.

This episode wasnt the funniest but that wasnt the point in my opinion. It was to fire a salvo back at Scientology and warn them about interfering with their programming.

I have heard people say Scientology is harmless and lacks influence compared to Christianity but last week's rerun being pulled is something Christians didnt have the influence to do even though there are vastly more Christians than Scientologists. It proves Scientology is a very dangerous, influencial and powerful club of freaks.

What they pulled pretty much justified the message Matt and Trey detailed in their Scientology episode and expounded on further this time.

Bravo to the them. They are crude, immature yet hillarious and smart! I love what they do in terms of picking at the hypocrisy across all subjects.
