Well, folks, it's finally here - the most eagerly awaited South Park episode in recent memory!

He's Back!!! Chef Returns to South Park

The launch of "South Park’s" 10th season is marked by the triumphant homecoming of school chef, Jerome McElroy. "The Return of Chef!," premieres tonight, Wednesday, March 22 at 10:00 p.m., on Comedy Central.

The town is jolted out of a case of the doldrums when Chef suddenly reappears. While Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman are thrilled to have their old friend back, they notice that something about Chef seems different. When Chef’s strange behavior starts getting him in trouble, the boys pull out all the stops to save him.

By the way, did anyone notice the credits. Nothing special actually, but Isaac Hayes got billing for Chef. Well, he did supply the voice, if not recently.

No telling what you can do with an MPG.

Linux? Windows? Mac?

Rather than spending three hours back & forth between us... try Google.

Anyone have any idea what size a 30 minute mpg would be?

Depends on the capture size. I generally capture in high quality DVD 720x480 format and a 30 minute show runs 1-1.5 Gigs.

mpeg-1 would be anywhere from 250 to 600 MB, depending on the quality. Mpeg-2 will be about 1 to 1.5 GB. You could always get it lower than that by playing with frame rate, image quality, bit rate, etc., but those are some orders of magnitude you'll be dealing with.

Who all noticed the Simpson's reference of Chef falling down the side of the cliff like Homer did in the Bart the Daredevil Episode?

Is there a Civil War going on in Ohio (the Jerry Springer show doesn't count)?

Well they have already shown real footage of a sex change operation. This wasn't nearly as gross as that, but it was funnier because the voiceover was the doctor saying if more people saw one they would see what a beautiful, natural occurence it was.

OK, is anybody elkse seriously disapointed? On the one hand they did a very effective job of scewering Scientology in a way that they can't be effectively sued... but I was really expecting it to be funny.

They will have to pay Issac for the use of his voice. Now that is funny too!

Probably not. Rights to revious South Park material such as voices most likely belong to Comedy Central and not to Hayes himself.
