FR Folding@Home Project Update - We're in the Top 150 teams Worldwide! (A Tribute to Ronald Reagan)

OK, new thread for the next week, celebrating the first of many Million point producers – our very own Klutz_Dohanger!

First, a big shout out to the SETI and BOINC members who have added CPUs to the effort. Remember, its Team 36120, NOT Team 0.

Next, congrats to all for bumping our team up to 1011 processors and 305 user names. We have a number of new users in the team, with over 50 computers from GetLoaded.com, a trucking support website, all contributing while their owners ply our freeways keeping the nation moving.

We now have 57 members who have contributed at least 10,000 points each. Woo-Hoo!

Even more impressive, our team now boasts 225 members who have folded at least 1,000 points. That is more than the entire number of folders for our erstwhile left-wing environazi competitors!

Free Republic Folding@Home Stats Page

On the global front, Free Republic Folders is now listed at # 157. We will be in the Top 150 on Saturday!

As we continue to grow there are a number of milestones coming around the bend:

Top 150 by March 30
Top 100 by the end of the May

We have 3,350,000 points so far and have folded over 20,000 WU. We now fold over a million points per month, each and every month! Fantastic!

Thanks again to all that are helping us advance science and promote the peaceful use of computers.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I had some big WUs finish early, then some in the 40 point range finished in the same 24 hour period. My name on the "top 20 producers" didn't last long, (but long enough for me to get a screen shot!)

My daily points vacillate from ~175-250 depending on what I'm working on.

Those point totals will keep you buried deep into the top 100. (at least for now)

OMG, I just happened to look at the overclocking stats page, and found out that I jumped like 15 spots and ended up in the top 20!

Dang it! It took me forever to finally inch past you, and here you slingshot well out of my range again!

Well, I'll see you in a couple of weeks... ;-)

How do you do it? I see from your server you don't have a single 2106, 2107, or 2108 out of 5 machines. I've got 3 machines and two 2107's and a 2108. It will be Saturday before I score another point. Life just isn't fair:)

Being able to see how long each problem has been folding and over the Internet is neat. Great work. Other Folders see post #28, highly recommended.

Thanks for the endorsement! I've had a blast creating it-- I live for short, well-defined projects like this!

You got me. Up until a few days ago, they were all working on 2106 and 2107. I haven't seen 2108 yet on any of my machines. It's actually eight machines/processors. My brother (the Linux god) is working on the upload script for Linux-- then I'll be able to rope in the remaining ones.

It certainly did!

65,095 points yesterday. That's 3rd highest daily production for our team.

We should reach 3,500,000 points today! Wow!

Congrats on popping 200,000 points, and staying ahead of lrenh.

Now you need to run Klutz down ...

Also congrats to Andrewksu for breaking 50,000 points, Craigon69 for hitting 40,000 points and to TheMightyQuinn and Advil000 for each busting 30,000 points.

Not bad for a days work.

Cool, let me know when the Linux one is ready. I am trying to get an older P3 to put it on.

I really like what you have done. I missed up my initial scheduling last night - I should have followed your instructions, but they all see to be working fine now. How hard would it be to have the a freepmail or email sent, if we have a stray for the day or several hours?

Thanks again. This could really raise our points, if many of us start using this to help us monitor our folding. BTW, I didn't realize andyk was coming on so strong until I clicked his link! Wow! He is targeting our top ten in a few weeks or months.

Must Find More CPUs!!!!

andyk is tearing it up. I just used egons tool to see the progress of andyk's workstations and he looks to have 15 cpus burning it up. And to think, I was worried about Chris_Primavera!

Cool, let me know when the Linux one is ready.

Should be soon-- next day or so.

How hard would it be to have the a freepmail or email sent, if we have a stray for the day or several hours?

Probably not quite so easy. The server I have the monitor tied to is not email-aware. I'll have to ponder that a bit. Certainly not Freepmail. Possibly email...

Hey, Egon, would you ask your brother if there is any way to configure the Linux FAHconsole to use more memory?

I'm running FAH in a shell-Konsole of a standard version of MEPIS on an older system with 512 MB ram, but FAH is only using 96 MB which leaves 81% free. No other programs are running (except the weather utility which is auto-installed with Mepis).

I'm hoping that giving the program more physical memory might speed up folding of larger WU's. Of course, that may just be whistling Dixie in the dark, LOL.

If he has any other tricks or tips, I welcome them.
Thanks,
RT
