Actually, I don't want to run Apache or other web server. I just want to run a CGI script with PHP.

Aha, I see. Well, I run PHP with Windows, so I can only help you generally...For Windows, yes, there are separate DLLs for Apache, CGI, ISAPI, etc.

You mentioned this folder before: /etc/PHP4/Apache2/php.ini

Have you looked within the PHP4 folder there to see if it has a CGI subfolder like it has for Apache?

FAH Monitor might experience a brief outtage this afternoon. I'm migrating to a newer, better server box.

The transition is either going to take 5 minutes or 3 hours, depending on how Murphy happens to be feeling...

"Have you looked within the PHP4 folder there to see if it has a CGI subfolder like it has for Apache?"

I searched fo CGI folders & found 3, /usr/share/perl/cgi, /usr/share//perl5/cgi, and /usr/lib/ruby/cgi

None of those had any PHP files, only perl or ruby.

I'm starting to get the feeling that I will have to compile PHP to run as CGI (something I'm not sure how to do, and some info I've read leads me to believe that having PHP as CGI might leave my system vulnerable to attack).

Yeah, I did, but there's only the Apache folder and the only thing in it is the PHP.ini file.

Where are you?

We had a hail & wind storm here in East Tennessee. I shut down the boys for a bit when the lights started flickering..

On my machine, even the FAH "Display" wrecks havoc... and forget running full screen! Full screen makes the task bar disappear completely.
