Kitty Caption CXXXII – More Brack”cat”ology 2006 (HOCKEY) – (Humor/Meow Alerts)

My bracket for the NCAA basketball tournament not looking too bad (except for one glaring mistake). Won’t win any money, but better than the carnage of last season. I will press my luck with a shot at the NCAA hockey pool (you know, that sport where whomever has the puck with the opposite color jersey, you whack).

Review of basketball bracket.

Play-in was correct.
Atlanta: Missed Iowa, but everyone else still there.
Minneapolis: 6-2 on the first round, perfect 4-0 on the second round.
Washington: Picked Wichita St correctly, but missed the middle of this group. Ouch !

Now for the glaring mistake.

KANSAS !! JOKE – TOKE – JAYCHOKE !!!! Second Year in a row they screwed me. Next time, I pick them to LOSE in the first round, even if they play a 16-seed.

Dunce Cap for Me

Hockey Tourney Time. No “DU” (Denver University, not THAT DU) in the tournament this year.

East and Northeast Brackets

Boston University over Nebraska-Omaha
Boston College over Miami-OH
Michigan State over New Hampshire
Maine over Harvard

Boston University over Boston College
Michigan State over Maine

A fan from Nebraska Chewing Over These Selections

West and Midwest Brackets

Wisconsin over Bemidji State
Colorado College over Cornell
Minnesota over Holy Cross
North Dakota over Michigan

Wisconsin over Colorado College
North Dakota over Minnesota

Hey, Need to Pick One Upset. Disguise Ready if Needed

The Frozen Four

Boston University over North Dakota
Wisconsin over Michigan State

WISCONSIN OVER BOSTON UNIVERSITY

Cute kitties. And I have one that looks a lot like yours ... and she looks exactly the same when she's in her futon.

:^)

My younger cat Deimos hasn't learned that yet: He'd end up exhausted on the floor with the hummingbird hovering over his nose.

Courtship

My neighbors have an alluring gray eyed kitten
I saw her the other day and was instantly smitten
With her fluid poise and haughty elegance
Watching through the den's window as though in a trance
As she basked upon her wide front porch without a care

Narrow dark stripes flowing over silvery fur
Move in a way that make me ache and purr
There must be a way that I can get close to her!
Through the Little One's window and down the old maple tree
Over damp cool grass and across the street

Under the pale Moon's glow, I can easily see
The kitten's silhouette through the window
Her tail curled round her paws as she watches me
I had the urge to wail and shout. But that would have been wrong, without a doubt
Instead, I sat upon the porch's window sill

Questions were asked and smiles were returned
Between scratches on glass and all I had learned
Which made my heart ache and tremble and oddly burn
As the night's darkness slowly dissolved to morning's light
Lenore unfurled a smile for a kiss Good Night!

Happy to find this thread!

Thanks, the cute picture came through an e-mail the other day. I love it too. My cat is a torti-tabby with Bengal features. I guess I'll have to get a photo of her up here soon.

This is a nice change from the other threads. Thanks.

Love your photos... the last one looks a lot like my Brigid. Loud purr?

Thank you to the thread host.

They calm down after a few years.   LOL!

That is a great pic and looks just like our Sheba. She is a great cat and is so friendly we call her "the dog". My wife brought her home as a free kitten from the vet, and she looked just like a little monkey as a kitten. Probably part russian blue but not purebred.
Thanks for the pic.

G-d, I hope so. I love Deimos to death, but I won't miss having kitty toys bounced off my head at 4 in the morning.

P.S. Love the GIF!

Years ago, one of my kittens was a flyer. She could jump from a sitting position and touch the ceiling, and she ofen did. As she matured, that irritation became a fond memory, so you love Deimos EVERY DAY, despite what he does. That kitten of mine lived 22 years (never went outdoors; that makes the difference) and was wonderful, but I'll always remember her as the fabulous flying feline.

Oh, I love Deimos. He's a total snugglebug, loves to play, and is very protective of me - when I'm in vulnerable positions he'll often stand guard. When our schedules sync up a bit better he'll be perfect.

I can tell you love Deimos, no doubt about it. You'd probably have to learn to abide by his schedule, however, considering that you can't tell them what to do. :)
