Find a partner or grab your favorite beverage & listen to some Irish tunes .A couple of wave files - full-length, lilting, Irish melodies - they are so beautiful! I hope you can open them, or "save target as" to your hard drive and listen to them later.

Why Saint Patrick's Day?
Saint Patrick's Day has come to be associated with everything Irish: anything green and gold, shamrocks and luck. Most importantly, to those who celebrate its intended meaning, St. Patrick's Day is a traditional day for spiritual renewal and offering prayers for missionaries worldwide.
So, why is it celebrated on March 17th? One theory is that that is the day that St. Patrick died. Since the holiday began in Ireland, it is believed that as the Irish spread out around the world, they took with them their history and celebrations. The biggest observance of all is, of course, in Ireland. With the exception of restaurants and pubs, almost all businesses close on March 17th. Being a religious holiday as well, many Irish attend mass, where March 17th is the traditional day for offering prayers for missionaries worldwide before the serious celebrating begins.
In American cities with a large Irish population, St. Patrick's Day is a very big deal. Big cities and small towns alike celebrate with parades, "wearing of the green," music and songs, Irish food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games. Some communities even go so far as to dye rivers or streams green!

Cool.
I'm amazed by Kirk Douglas's staying power.
I never thought that he'd be able to act in full-length motion pictures after suffering that debilitating stroke.
One of my favorite Kirk Douglas films is Tough Guys.

The opponent is what I'd call "Foolish. Brave, but very, VERY foolish."

I weigh considerably more than you, and I'm not exactly considered a "fattie" to anyone (that I'm aware of). Well, for some reason there were rumors on FR a while ago that I was too skinny, so i just wanted to set the record straight and make it clear that 5'7 and 125lbs is healthy not scrawny at all.

I'll bet she's never played a "game" of tennis before. I assumed you are joking or don't know what you are talking about.
To: Army Air Corps
I sure did and have a great time doing it. :-)

Oh, good. I think I speak for all the other guys when I say I prefer the healthy look over the skinny boney one that the media is always showing us. For example, Lindsay Lohan used to be SO hot until...she lost all her weight (and dyed her hair blonde).

What I meant was that you beat the other players so badly, it could hardly be considered a game. More of an entertaining spectacle of watching them lose horrificly.

The IntraWebz can be a thoughtless rumor mill.
That's why I always have a decoy ready when another FReeper is snapping pictures in my vicinity.
Kind of like Saddam Hussein.
Is it me or merely a body double?
Who knows?!

AMEN! I like women who actually have hips. What the h*ll happened to hips? The most of the undergrad girls on campus have no danged hips or lovely contours - their figures are straight as a board.

Do you remember the one from the late 80's? Who was that?
To: pcottraux
Yeah, maybe I should work on that statement a bit, I don't want people getting confused, LOL.

Hey, I ain't that good. :-)

I just saw that. Too funny. I like this new doctor. You're right, a manic Tom Baker.
