1. Drinking and partying and competing don't mix.
2.
A designer first name is not enough to win the gold, Picabo not withstanding.
He's holding out for a slot on the curling team?
He believed his own BS?
2. Wanted to prove that being a good skiier means not medaling......
What a friggen joke he is and most people will be able to recognize him..he is a laughingstock.
"Dude" is not a winning mental strategy.
2. Big head created bad airflow causing slowdowns.

Need more?
But no. They have to pick some little twit, and push him as though he's won the gold before competition even starts.
Meanwhile we had a thread a few weeks ago comparing Skiing to snowboarding and the snowboarders were slammed......Bode the Best Skiier ever in his own mind who didn't need an Olympic medal....to prove he is the best is a jerk.

NBC never learns: From the same link:
10. The Olympic Triplecast
For the 1992 Barcelona Games, NBC came up with an idea to recoup some of the $400 million in rights fees and $100 million in production costs: sell a special package, a "Triplecast" of 24-hour-a-day competition. Viewers stayed away in droves, balking at the $125 cost for two weeks, and NBC and its cable partner, Comcast, lost tens of millions of dollars in the deal.
Sure they didnt do the triplecast and charge us for it but I am sure the still lost millions.
That's what makes the Olympics so awful. If media and merchandising would just let the games happen, then reward the good stories with publicity and contracts, it wouldn't feel so scripted. Maybe that's why curling is so popular; up to this point anyway, it has been let be until the results are in.
And the figure skating fiasco. Last Olympics, the judges were corrupt. So, rather than get dependable judges, the powers that be totally screwed up the sport.
Why did I watch American Idol instead? I care about those talented folk out there who will have to prove themselves to move on and EARN praise and success.
Over here.......LOL.
Hey, at least they got a medal!
And the real irony is that now we all love snowboarding! :-)
Good to see you!
Leni
He was too busy making a video with Tonya Harding...
With Picabo speaking and "anything" do not mix. Street thinks she can
decide who's hot and who's not. News flash Picabo! There's a new kid
in town and (unlike you) she has class.
In typical slimey fashion, NBC was trying to induce a "Tanya Harding"
moment by asking Picabo Street for comments about Julie Mancuso. Street
called Mancuso "unprofessional", then she told her to "take off the tiara".
It was so trailer trash. Apparently it's fashionable for elitist deva liberals
to not only bash our President, our country and our military, but now
our olympians.
.
It was just another Bode plot. (Sorry only engineers will get this one.)
