The problem with that is most of us will be watching "24" then! Well, not I because we start watching about 3/4 of the way in since we DVR it so we can avoid the commercials. She could chat with the West Coasters, though, since they see it two hours after we do!
Wasn't Curtis leading folks out of the building?
Hi, Hair!
Hey, Suzy!
What a great idea about the Legos!
Hey... there are still two or three of us who don't watch 24... maybe I'd be around.
GOF DVD is out TODAY!!!! :o)
Wow! I've never even heard of wooden Lego bricks! Those are cool!
Are they like Lincoln Logs?
Our two older sons are 23 and 26, and sometimes they and their friends will drag the Legos out and start playing with them. If you've got room, hang onto them! I also have a box of Duplos, some Brio trains, and some wooden blocks that we're hanging onto for the grandkids! ;o)
I think they're very old, but I don't know how old.
Howdy doody!
How are you doing?
In the picture that Hair posted up the thread, they look like dominos, but they have the bumps on them like the plastic Legos. Hers all look the same size, too.
Well we started buying Legos for the boys around 1982, and they were plastic then, so yours must be older than that. Did you and Ramius play with those when y'all were little?
I'll go have a look.
Oh, is that out? Cool... great film.
No - my mom bought them at an antique store I think.
Besides, I've tried it. Like if he's watching basketball. I've said "But you're watching basketball and I don't care for basketball...I'm just going to check my email." (which is what I say when I'm sneak freepin'.)
He just shuts the TV off and then I have to endure dead silence for the rest of the evening from a very furious individual...which of course I won't do...I hit the roof.
It's all extremely stupid and unfair by his own admission, but that's how it is. Just the last Friday, after the field trip...remember, I came in and posted that report on it? When I came out I was in deep dutch. His jaw was set, his eyes bugging. He told me he was mad because I got on the computer the first thing when we got home. I pointed out he turned on the TV the first moment we got home and it didn't bother me. He was mad because I had the computer plugged in charging in the guest room.
I told him he could either get over it or leave, I didn't care. The computer remains plugged in and charging in the guest room and he seems to have gotten over it. I haven't been back online when he is home however, since then.
Ruined my good evening, though...
We get along fine most the time, but this is a problem that won't go away. He says I'm obsessed with it. I pointed out that *he* is the one with a TV in every room but the bathroom...if that's not an obsession, I don't know what is, but that I don't feel threatened or angry about it! I reminded him that I'm rarely on the computer for very long when he's around. He admits it's not right, but can't help getting angry over it.
It's a ongoing fight I'm not ever going to win.
