The Hobbit Hole XXVIII - Through shadows to the edge of night
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 02/24/2006 9:52:11 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Through shadows to the edge of night

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Be careful 2J... 24 is like some sort of cult. It'll suck you in too.

I don't think so...the way the move the camera around and zoom in and out makes me feel really off-kilter!

I thought it was funny that Steve was "sneak-24ing"...kinda like I sneak freep. I, on the other hand...being the better person...not only didn't condemn him, I encouraged him.

ROFLOL!!!

Good morning!

~sip~

My knobs are backwards.

The hot and cold water knobs for the faucet in the bathroom sink. They turn the wrong way.

Curtis was on his way back from the hospital. IIRC he hadn't made it back yet.

That's a good thing, they'll need him on the outside.

hehe... wait... somehow it feels wrong to be amused by your suggestion in this context. Not entirely sure why though...

I'm just pointing out an obvious solution - both of them would get what they want...

Right, naturally. It makes perfect sense. I just feel I should hesitate to laud your spousal manipulation skills. Just on principle see? >;-D I love you!

I made pancakes for breakfast. My easy ones. I made a double batch and it made enough for 2 breakfasts for the jedis. Got to thinking I could do that easily for my "cook for a day, eat for a month" thing.

Also, I'm washing our Lego blocks in the washing machine with a little bleach and soap...they've been out on the porch and they're dusty and spidery...I just dumped them all into the washer.

Makes a lot of noise.
