Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Through shadows to the edge of night
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah...it was perfect for that picture...
Even the Captain...the big guy in that picture I posted yesterday, who was a gruff fellow, commented on it's appropriateness.

Heh...65% of the people surveyed on
GlennBeck.com are willing to sacrifice the entire crew of 24 to see Kim die in the next episode...
To: Corin Stormhands
Oh man... maybe they're gonna pull a 'hamlet' on us...

Aw - Kim's not so bad...
I'll tell you what though... I think there's something to the tidbit that [Henderson] (is that the right name for the former CTU dude?) "looked in on her" while Jack was "dead" and I think the new boyfriend is not just a boyfriend.

I'm all for it.
If I thought my dad was dead and suddenly he wasn't, I'd be beside myself with joy (after the initial shock).
Who gets a second chance like that?

That's not manipulation. It's not manipulation if you say "this is a logical way to resolve this difference so we both get what we want." It would be manipulation if I said she should act all hurt that he wants to watch 24 instead of spending time with her. I love you too...

I understood Kim playing it pretty coldly, because it was done to her on purpose by Jack.... Even though cognitively it makes sense that she couldn't know (unless she was gonna be 'dead' too and with Jack) It's not like Jack was just kidnapped and believed dead... it was all contrived for a cover story... That's hard to take. Running into each others arms would have been awfully "Hallmark card", OMHO :~)

Who gets a second chance like that? Well, I don't know, but I know one thing...those Legos washed up beautifully in the washing machine! They were the bigger ones, each one is an inch by an inch and a half or so, not the little ones and I just dumped them in loose. If they were the little ones, I'd probably zip them up in one of those net laundry bags.
I tried washing some plastic dinosaurs in there too but they filled up with water so I threw them out.

Kim didn't annoy me last night. I'm still po'd at her for seasons 1 and 2. She's a real pain. But she does the "hot babe gets kidnapped thing" real well.
Kim will not get through this season without being in serious jeopardy - more focused on her than the nerve gas. I think you're right about the boyfriend.

That was the most interesting seque I've ever seen, 2J...

I'll have to go back and watch the prior seasons. That way maybe I'll see her in a different light.

I tried washing some plastic dinosaurs in there too but they filled up with water so I threw them out. Seems harsh to blame them for filling up with water in the washer! :~D
Couldn't you have just poked a hole in them?

Oh - was this your first introduction to Kim? I guess I might see her as odd too then... but her reaction was in line with her character, IMHO.

Heh...they had a little hole in them...in the underneath and I didn't see it. Getting that water out completely woulda been impossible...they would mildew. I knew this from jedi bathtub toy experience.
They weren't that fancy anyway. Just cheap plastic dimestore dinosaurs.

Poke a hole in the top. Blow most of the water out and then put them in the dryer on low heat. for a little while.
To: 2Jedismom
Nice! Around lego circles they suggest washing them about like did. For smaller ones you can put them in a pillow case and tie the end in a knot (or that bag idea might do better). Don't put ones with pained on decals (like the little people) though, they will scratch up. Those can be done with light rising in a sink. I should wash mine some time but have not gotten around to it yet. If your jedis like Lego's and are allowed some interneting, direct them to www.lugnet.com

I should wash mine some time but have not gotten around to it yet. Ummmm...am I the only one around here concerned about the fact that you have Legos that actually need washing?????
To: TalonDJ; Corin Stormhands
Around lego circles they suggest I have some legos... old wooden ones...

I wonder if they're worth anything in lego circles... Not that I'd really want to sell them, they're fun to have around - and once in awhile there's kids around here.
