Yah, well, clearly they like having some train wrecks for us to rubberneck... keeps things compelling... :-)
hehehehe....
You're right.
(P.S. It is way too early for me to jump into a woman-bashing thread. ~sigh~)
Please let it die before Rosie gets back from church... it's too early for her to be on a woman-bashing thread too.
It's so hard to stay out of those threads.
Makes my blood boil.
hanks, I knew there must've been a thread more appropriate for this rant. :o)
Very cool 2J!
Good morning everyone!
Yeah, Rosie's too. I just look at them and laugh at how many pathetic people there are out there.
hmmmm?
Yikes! That's scary!
The Canteen thread has a Harry Potter theme today.
They have the "next generation" of freepers, ie, the children of some of the regular posters on the Canteen put up a thread once a week on Wednesdays.
This one is by DivaBetsyRoss's oldest and is really interested the way it was set up. for fans of HP and to still support our troops.
stop by some time. :o)
One of my best friends from way back is like that. It's too bad. He had a very bad experience and let himself grow bitter about it. It ruined him for any future relationship. It was over ten years ago, and he hasn't even seriously dated anyone since.
There was another fire yesterday, this time we could see it for miles... We were driving home from Arlington, and saw a hugh billowing cloud of smoke to the north. I explained to Karateboy what it was and he thought it was pretty close. We kept driving and seemed to never reach it. Turns out, it was in Grapevine, just north of DFW airport, right next to the building where KLTY radio station is located.
You know, my experiences could have easily turned me into a bitter, nasty person.
I choose to think of it as a poor decision or just chalk it up to a lack of maturity. And I don't ~hate~ my ex. We just weren't right for each other and that's that.
These fellas take their bad experiences and morph it into "All women are evil".
How is a gal supposed to know if a guy really likes her or if he's one of these types that just wants to have "casual sex" and move on since we are ~evil~ American women? And then folks wonder why it's so hard for couples to trust each other.
It's stupid.
These guys should just go "brokeback" and be done with it if they are so female-phobic. :-D
Kidding, of course.
((((((Ruthy))))))
I guess I better find this thread...
Heh... no, I know what you mean...
Maybe a little heartbreak early in life and little bits of it spread out over time is safer than saving it all up and taking it all in one dose. :-)
OK, I'm done. No more posting to that thread.
For everyone like me, who hopes to be in a relationship with the right guy one day, those threads are hope-killers.
And being the eternal optimist that I am, I refuse to stand by and let someone stomp on my dreams and the dreams of others because they've had some bad times.
Life isn't fair, but that is no reason to make it harder to live.
Nonsense! Sure there are plenty of creeps out there. But you already knew that. Yeah it is hard to find the good ones, but you knew that too. Don't let those punks effect your mood. There are plenty of good ones out there. Just got to trust God's plan to bring them to you. Worked for me. Took longer than I expected but I had plenty of growing up to do.
These guys haven't learned the lesson: "Have you ever noticed that the common element in all your failed relationships is... you?" :-)
I don't know about that, hon.
Given the choice of one BIG heartbreak with a ~guarantee~ that I'll suffer no others in my lifetime, I may just grit my teeth and bear it. ;-)
It's that whole chipping away at a person's hope time after time that eats folks up and makes them jaded.
Anyone who would give up on love after one heartbreak doesn't deserve to find the real thing, IMHO - because anything worth finding is worth searching for, no matter how long it takes.

Heh.... but if you'd been ready six years ago, say, I sure wouldn't have been and then where'd we be? :-D
