Hundreds of pieces of Elvis Presley memorabilia were auctioned off over the weekend by a longtime collector trying to win back his girlfriend after she warned: "You leave the Elvis clothes or I'll leave you."

With the $2 million, he can buy a new girlfriend.
LOL! You beat me at posting this by about 3 minutes or so - mine got pulled already.
Tough decision: Stupid collection and being able to dress up like long dead Rock icon vs. live girl and $2,000,000 (don't forget the prenuptial agreement)
She'd better be worth it.
Part of his collection...
I know a guy's hat collection that was, in part, the downfall of his marriage.
He had thousands of baseball caps, with slogans on them, pinned all the way around the living room walls. Cool for a young single guy in college, not really the decor a grown up or a woman is gonna want to live with, and he refused to take them down. It wasn't the only concession he failed to make in making room for a wife in his life, but it was a very visible symptom :~D
No picture?
How can we know if he made the right choice?
He's gonna regret this.
I got an Elvis collection for my girlfriend. it was a good trade.
wrong decision
"""I know a guy's hat collection that was, in part, the downfall of his marriage... and he refused to take them down."""
Good for him. No man should change himself for any woman. Your friend needs to find someone that likes his hats because they are a part of him. Not say they like them, then try to change them. I am glad he stood up and was a man about it.
I suspect after she has raped him of his cash she is going to leave him flat anyway. This is SOP for most spoiled rotten females that are trained in the American way of ruining a man's financing and personal self esteem.
No. Good decision. Elvis is dead.
I repeat post #16.
Except to add that some turn once decent men into groveling lap puppies with no identity.
His marriage lasted 6 weeks and it's end broke both their hearts. The hats were but one symptom.
Life is not about never accomodating another person, unless you want to live alone.
He outgrew wanting to have hats all over the house, and he's succesfully remarried. I imagine he learned that living successfully with someone else means you will not remain unchanged by it.
Elvis dead? You've had too much kool aid.
