Jennifer's bid to be another Audrey Hepburn is going nowhere.....thanks to Reiner's botching the job.
And that's a shame...about Aniston's career taking a hit. In the few interviews I've seen, she comes across as sensible, down to earth, and a nice person. I wish her success. I did try watching Friends, not very hard, never could manage more than one scene...but she was the pick of that litter, too.
Isn't this the epic of one man having affairs with women in three generations of one family? And they peddled this dreck at Christmas. Are the investors in this tripe nuts?
"Jennifer's bid to be another Audrey Hepburn is going nowhere.....thanks to Reiner's botching the job."
I tried posting this story a few minutes ago, but was unable to access Variety's website via Drudge. I so wanted to be a bearer of bad tidings for Meathead.
Anyway I couldn't have matched your quip (above).
Cruel words..(g).and I must say you're off to a fine start for the new year..kicking America's putative sweatheart when she's down...LOL
I'd love to see this ruin Meathead, but we all know that won't happen. And it might just be that people are turned off at the notion that the character Jennifer Aniston plays is (from seeing the promos) going to be sleeping with Kevin Costner, who slept with how many other women in their family again? Like anyone but the most diehard Aniston fans will give a damn about how sitting through two hours of her agonizing over her movie family is a pack of ho's and watching it contrive its way into somehow compelling her to, as a result, go sleep with Costner, a guy whose star is so faded he's starting to make Christopher Lambert look like Brad Pitt.
Is meathead still pulling down $100,000 plus from California's anti-smoking program?
I love the smell of hollyweirdos like reiner burning.
I saw the trailer for this (before the new Pride and Prejudice... which was excellent BTW) and immediately thought "I can't wait for the threads about this trash on FR!"
If Kevin Costner gets killed in the film, I might see it. Only redeeming feature of any of his films.
"Bruce Almighty" is the only movie I've seen starring Jennifer Anniston which was worth seeing.
Hate Meathead's politics, but he usually directs good movies.
Guess he has been distracted with his activism.
You'll know a movie is in trouble when The Dukes of Hazzard beats it at the box office.
A giggly twit, a certified nitwit and a wacko-psycho liberal idiot.
Yep, that's the makings of a good movie.
And directed by a fulla-crap, birkenstock-wearing, warm and fuzzy kumbaya chanter?
Oooh, can't miss with that!
We may complain about smarmy crap like "Rumor" being a sign of Hollywood's decline, but I'm far more disturbed about ugly torture and mutilation flicks that pass as modern horror films (the Saw films, the new Hostel, etc.) What sort of people actually want to see such things?
As much as I dislike Reiner, there was no chance anywhere that someone as lightweight as Aniston could even begin to "be another Audrey Hepburn". I truly believe one of the reasons, and probably the least important, Hollywood has sunk almost as low as it can, is that there are so few actors, directors, producers with any kind of character or integrity, with any understanding of civility.
Audrey Hepburn was a "lady." She was grace personified. How could anyone think that any Hollywood Star of today could even come close to understanding her.
We have lost so much beauty. Now I better understand "Truth is beauty, beauty truth."
Surprisingly, it looks like the public just doesn't find Jen interesting apart from Brad Pitt.
Doesn't that automatically qualify him for an Oscar under Hollywood rules?
The enormous successes of The Passion of the Christ and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe should have taught the movie industry that catering to more mainstream and more conservative movie audiences will make lots of money for everyone involved, but NO! (in the late John Belushi's voice), the movie industry cranks out Left-leaning movies that end up being a big moneyloser for both the studio and movie theater chains.
