I went and saw the latest King Kong movie the other night. All 3 hours and 10 minutes of it. But once again the biggest question I've had about this movie remains unanswered.
After they knock out King Kong on the island, how do they get him on the boat?
You'd think with 3 hours + of movie we could have gotten an answer to that question

You think that's the biggest question?
How 'bout "How long is it?"

it was probably sarcasm)

How come he didn't fling his dung like other monkeys?

Also, why not bring back a T-Rex?
To: CougarGA7
The worst thing is that Kong is not the most intersesting animal they could have brought back.
Any dinosaur would have done just as well.
Further, why was Kong one of a kind ?

No, the big question is why the heck did you spend $10 to see it?

I asked the same question when I watched the re-run of the Jessica Lange/Jeff Bridges version.
In one scene KK is all passed out from the chloroform, in the next scene he's in the hold of the oil tanker.
So they didn't even try to address that in the new movie?
They could have at least tried to make it look like helicopters moved him or something.

Exactly. In trying to make a spectacle film, they overlooked the obvious.

Well, they had to have heavy equipment.
Maybe they dragged him to the boat and used whatever winching apparatus the boat had?

That's not an irrational question, and I thought of it myself. But you must remember that movies do not exist in real-world logic. Almost all of the greatest movies ever made have no logical explanations to them; they are made for simple enjoyment.
Does anything in "Star Wars," for example, make any sense?
What I wondered in "King Kong" was what happened to the natives after they sacrificed Naomi Watts to Kong. They just kind of disappeared. Where did they go?

The natives were able to build an entire wall to keep Kong out (and we can't keep our border with Mexico!). Then with a single jump, Kong clears the ditch and wall to chase the people to the waters edge... c'mon....
