11th century Haraldur? Harald Hardrada? Don't think so, but he's gotta be more interesting than any other Norse king of the 11th century. ;') In one of the sagas, there's a story about Harald (Harald III of Norway, Harald Sigurdsson). As a young boy, he and two similarly aged cousins (or maybe a half-brother or two) were asked what they wanted to have when they were adults. The first kid said, he wanted more grain than is grown in all the land. The second kid said, he wanted so many cattle that they'd be able to eat all the first kid's grain in one feeding. Harald said, he wanted so many warriors that they could eat all the second kid's cattle in one sitting. Heh.

"About Lake Eufaula's water levels, I am for some reason reminded of an English king’s comments about a king from Norway that was subsequently killed at the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066.

"Godwinson of England had promised Norway's King Harold Hardrada that the only land he would get was to the effect of 'six feet, or as much taller he is than other men.'"
