Currently 14-10 5 minutes left in 2nd Quarter. Fresno State marching down the field preparing to score again
Their coach feels the same way and every one goes by the W and not the margin right now, so you are 100% correct.
I agree. Also, USC's defense was considered to be the weak spot from the beginning of the season. Last years defense included at least 5 players picked by the NFL. Adding all of these injuries sure didn't help.
Another thing that really hurts USC's defense is their horrible special teams. Their kickoff and punt returns teams are some of the worst in college and often put an inexperienced defense in some pretty bad field position.
It's been one hell of a ride!
Yep, enjoy it while you can, because all things will change.
What a great game, although it was a heartbreaker for this Fresno gal!
Man oh man. So that means VT vs FSU in the ACCCG? Sibling rivalry at its best.
nah....
Fresno will go to whichever WAC bowl their conference champion goes too.
It's probably going to be Ohio State vs. Notre Dame in the Fiesta since both Miami and Alabama lost.
OSU-ND would be a joke. Two two loss teams over a 10-1 Oregon team. If that happens, Pac10 needs to bolt from the joke BCS.
it all depends on what happens in the conference championship games that are coming up too.
But the Fiesta likes how BOTH teams travel. Both teams has a history wtih the Fiesta Bowl and BOTH will be ranked higher within the BCS.
But if LSU and VT find a way to lose their conference championship games, it will be a moot point because OSU will end up being #4 (which is automatic) and ND #5 in the BCS whereas Oregon will be 7 or 8 still....
Besides that, in the end, they will have to pick between Oregon and UCLA and if UCLA beats USC, wouldn't they be the PAC-10 champs?
actually check THIS out....
Apparently the Orange Bowl is rumored to be taking OSU and Penn State will end up facing ND in the Fiesta....
THAT I can see a lot easier.

Bwaaahahahaha! This may be the one Thanksgiving Day when EVERYONE in my house is in the kitchen helping cleanup rather than watching football!
Good advice!!
I believe Fresno beat USC in the early 1990's in the Freedom Bowl...wasn't even close...
ND would get killed. One factor in their getting big bowl games when they may not deserve it is they have such a tremendous, dedicated following. Money talks and BS walks.
BTW, I understand that Fresno brought down almost 20,000 fans for the game. Highway 99, must have been jammed with high rolling F-250's!
1992 Freedom Bowl, Anaheim Stadium.
USC went 6-5-1 that year and it was Coach Larry Smith's last game. I remember watching that game and not being too surprised that Fresno beat them. What I was surprised about was that USC got their collective asses kicked.
Fresno plays good ball and has for years.
Like I said, if Oregon gets left out, the pac10 is going to bail on the BCS.
There is no way that Oregon, with one loss to SC, which hasn't lost a game in over two years, should be behind teams with two losses. It's a joke. One week, Notre Dame and Oregon both had byes, and ND picked up two spots in the polls. The pac10 will just opt out, because it just gets screwed again and again by anti-West bias.
