I am still dying laughing, apparently Clemenza got my freepmail about checking out another who happened to be the wrong gender type. His response was quite hilarious! Apparently he wasn't really into checking out the person I'd suggested! haha
To: Rca2000
I have heard of them yes.

And you are rolling on the floor laughing because? Did someone tell you something?
I'm sorry Paul but you were the one I suggested he check out!! I am so sorry! You both lived in the same state, I asked how old he was and mentioned there was someone on here in his (I thought her) own state on this thread.
He then wrote back among other things informed me that he was a 6' 175" manly man and pretty well NO THANK YOU in big fat letters.
Please forgive me, I meant well.....
To: ozarkgirl
LOL thats okay. It was an honest mistake.

And I know you meant well. Even if it was a mistake, that was very nice of you to go through the effort and do that.

Sometimes folks sell junked systems on eBay...though I think there are more with busted screens than ones with good screens and other problems.
I just was at Best Buy to check on other things, but it didn't help my wants for a new system. *sigh* Eventually. Just hope this one keeps chuggin'.
I know, I've heard that too. New LCD's are so expensive and I'm not going to spend $300+ on a Pentium II laptop and even find out it might need more. I feel kind up bummed since I did like to take it to my room or wherever and use it to work on my websites and role playing game before going to bed or whatever or even if I could sneak in a quick game of Diablo. B-) Well, maybe at some point with laptops in the $500 range, when income tax rolls along, maybe I can get a new one. I just want one so I can surf in the living room, don't want to make mom too lonely plus it is a great help when I run my Morrow Project and Twilight: 2000 role playing games. I don't want to spend a lot, just something to fill the bill.
I remember in the early to mid 1980's, some portable, laptop and "transportable" computers had red/orange plasma screens and one even had an electroluminescient (sp?) display panel. One computer at the time did, it was made by GRID Computers and the one with the yellow electroluminescient display went aboard the space shuttle. It also had bubble memory too. I do believe various militaries used it too and on one model it had a red "X" above the disc drive showing the soldier where to shoot to destroy the data.

I remember when Mom worked for Halliburton (yes, that one), sometimes she brought work home and brought a portable PC home with her. Quite a few times, she brought home a Compaq Portable III or Portable 386 (I think it was the former, the III had a 286 while the 386 had the 386), but it had the coolest orange/red plasma screen.
Compaq Portable 386 (the III) looked the same)

True. It should not be rushed. "John Wayne it?"
Old expression for rushing things while not looking ahead or more commonly charging reckless with disregard to danger. Like when my buddy has his PC charge some bad guys I set up, they could be shooting at him with a whole load of M-16's and M-60's yet my buddy still takes the chance and charges, I alwaus say, "ain't you 'John Wayne-ing it a bit?" One time I tried my utmost to shoot him with the bad guys I set up in one game, just to teach him a lesson, but he kept having lucky die rolls. B-(
Dang sorry to hear about the dialysis.
It is a hard life to have but there have been many people who have survived on it for decades even. She is 60 years old.
I do not see what he would have against against American girls.
Well, he thinks American girls are too selfish and out for the money and "the bling." I do have to agree with him on some points, well, the ones he ran into were like that, but I know there are other girls here that are not like that. Again, I think in his desire to rush things, he met this girl online from Canada. I do have one dilemma though, she had Hepatitis C up there, she was treated for it. There is a new treatment from what I heard that if it is used and caught in time, they can cure it with an anti-viral drug but she still has to make one last test to make sure. She hasn't told him yet but told me and told me not to tell him. I'm going to have to reveal that to him for the sake of his health although my mom says she will tell him. She, his girlfriend, told me this online and mom read it on the screen with me since we were reckoning our bank account. Her family siutation is not good plus it seems like she has trouble holding down jobs so ther are times I do wonder if she sees my friend as her escape hatch and meal ticket. If so, he shouldn't complain about American girls, Canadian ones can be just as bad. B-) B-P
I pray to be led t her or her to be led to me to but it never has happened :(
It takes time, heck, getting my better job was easy compared to this but I had to slay a few economic dragons before I can totally commit myself for looking for the right one, maybe this is God's way of telling me to "hold it until you are ready." Guys in their 50's like Bill O'Reilly married late to younger spouses and have small kids. My great-great uncle who was a Russian Jew that came to America married a 16, 17 or 18 year old gil while he himself was 40, 45 or 50. He was a member of the Jewish community over here and much like "Fiddler on the Roof," a matchmaker matched them up. Before that, he did get into some hot water, he was charged with bigamy when he was younger but he got his act cleaned up. From what my grandmother (his niece) says, he was a somewhat famous violinist, even had a Stradavarius at one time, and even had his one radio show in New York City for a while on WABC.
Well, if there is hope for Bill O'Reilly and my "Fiddler of the Roof" great-great uncle, well, I think there is hope for me and that keeps me chugging and asking God for His help.

Hey, everybody. This afternoon, I attended a funeral, and not even once did I remember to look around in case there was a chance to flirt with someone. The service was mesmerizing.
