Posted on 10/28/2005 8:43:28 AM PDT by FreeManWhoCan
Hello: We are trying to restart our business here in Miami after the hurricane mess here. I'm stuck in Newscape 7.1 Our IT guy in New York reset the password and now Netscape 7.1 does not log in to the server when we try to log in. Can someone tell me how I can go into the Netscape 7.1 browser and reset the password? I know its crazy. Please can someone tell me where I can go to change this? HELP.

Uninstall Netscape completely and reinstall without a password.

Do you have admin capabilities?
You may have to have the new password to change it.

Don't fight Microsoft, you can't win.
Get IE explorer and embrace the dark side.

We occasionally would lose power at the Museum and lose the LAN but the computers would show with x's through them. I would simply double click the computers in network connections and it would restore the internet.

There's a small Linux distro (TOMSRBOT) that you can boot and use to change the admin passwords on linux/NT based systems. Works on RH and WIN2K, don't know about XP.
