Berlin (dpa) - Actors Catherine Zeta-Jones and Antonio Banderas at the presentation of their latest film on Sunday in Berlin expressed their concerns about the government of U.S. President George W. Bush.
Banderas openly criticized the U.S. government, saying it had done its job very poorly. The price for Bush's policies would be enormous not only for the U.S., he said, but for the rest of the world.
Zeta-Jones also stated her dissatisfaction with the current U.S. administration.

These two morons probably swoon at the mention of John F. Kennedy, not even realizing that W's policies are virtually the same as JFK (in my view).
When I drive around LA with a pro-W sticker in the rear car window, I always hope I'm driving in front of one of these H'wood celebs in their Mercedes or BMWs, annoying the heck out of them. They just can't believe that some people don't agree with them.
Agreed. It is sad really, that they are so detached from what is real. I have had lots of old Stars and Stripes and other items from the 20th century wars, and the "celebrities" who in some cases participated and others who entertained seemed much more real and alive than these cloistered paranoids who live pathetic lives. They are like perpetual, overpaid High Schoolers, who carry on their petty relationships in public for all to see, and who give unsolicited advice on subjects they are intellectually and emotionally unable to grasp.
Yep, just like teenagers.
Isn't there a law against this type of rot, while we are at war?
Hey Ms. ziti-jones... go fry up some fish 'n' chips for yo' hubby.
bttt
Another prominent Hollywood actor spoke out today against the policies of George W. Bush.
"I'm very consoynd," said Curly Howard. "Bush is gonna moytlize the woyld."
These people know very little other that what their handlers tell them to say. Only those in the press with an axe to grind care what they say. Hell these two aren't even citizens. Why should we pay them any heed. Pure BS.
Forget about them. See Serenity. That movie is pro-freedom.
I'd like to see an actual QUOTE before passing judgment, we all know how much the newspapers (especially in Germany, where they're even more left-wing than the U.S. media) love to spin things against Bush.
I can think of a lot of reasonable remarks that are consistent with the paraphrase in the article.
If it has to be parsed to make it less critical of the United States of America, and the President, it shouldn't have been said in a time of war, and especially on foreign soil, imo.
That sounds odd, since Joss Whedon is quite liberal.
Now they've gone and done it. I will forever ridicule their acting abilities in my film classes.
Not that they are especially popular anyway.
Far too many actors have forgotten that their profession has a historical link to prostitution.
Thank GOODNESS Antonio Banderas was asked his opinion. I haven't been able to function for years until I finally heard what he thinks.

Well then I know you will be even more relieved to know that the highly intelligent, politically suave Mr. BEN AFFLECK is seriously thinking about throwing his hat in the political ring (per Entertainment channel today)...lol
I never heard of either of them before and don't give a shit what they have to say. When they become important, maybe their comments will matter. They probably won't achieve importance.
