New observations by the international Cassini spacecraft reveal that Saturn's trademark shimmering rings, which have dazzled astronomers since Galileo's time, have dramatically changed over just the past 25 years.

Anybody else remember back in the 70's when they changed the official pronunciation of the seventh planet without consultation?

NAH! It's GLOBAL WARMING!

When you think 'bout it - why should one planet have prominent rings and not the others? Perhaps they are very temporary.

Well, the sun has going through a cycle of high activity of sunspots, and sun flares, and could be having a effect all of the planets in our solar system.
Of course the liberals/envirowackos/liberal agenda scientist leave that inconvenient fact out.

Among the most surprising findings is that parts of Saturn's innermost ring _ the D ring _ have grown dimmer since the Voyager spacecraft flew by the planet in 1981, and a piece of the D ring has moved 125 miles inward toward Saturn. shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh -- do not let our moon hear about this
To: Zrob
Hmmmmmm
Well, we've only known about the rings for what, 500 years? Galileo? Maybe they've only been there for a relatively short time. The result of a massive asteroid collision?

Saturn's rings are not anything like the age of Saturn itself. Either they are captured debris, or they were spit up by the planet itself.
