I'm glad to see that they're releasing this show. I first saw it when we got cable a few years ago. TV Land pulled it from their lineup shortly thereafter, and I haven't seen it since. A shame. It was a good show (and infinitely better than the pathetic garbage they're playing now...Sanford & Son indeed!).

I grew up on that show. I would NEVER miss it. Beleive it or not, my favorite guy was marco. He got to drive Engine 51.
Yes, I remember that great saturday line-up. Emergency, All In The Family, The Carol Burnett Show...
I first saw this show (on and off) during its original run and in occasional reruns during the 1970s. As far as I can recall, they NEVER had reruns of this show in my area after the 1970s (with the exception of cable tvs TV Land). Unfortunately, I lost my cable tv (couldnt afford it anymore) just before my local cable company added TV Land to its service. Just my luck.
A shame. It was a good show (and infinitely better than the pathetic garbage they're playing now...Sanford & Son indeed!).
Whats wrong with Sanford and Son? :-) (all 6 seasons of Sanford and Son are out on DVD) with the exception of some below par episodes, it was a pretty good show. Not GREAT, mind you, but quite alright.
With taste, I guess, it's always hard to explain. Some specific complaints are Lamont's completely irreverent (this is quite an understatement) treatement of his father, and the constant faked heart attacks. All in all, I could never get into the show (with, admittedly, a few exceptions).
You have quite a memory..........
How could you people live like that???
Woohoo! I love Emergency!!
They were dark days indeed. I recall having to live without remote controls too. One actually had to go over to the tv and turn a switch or press a button attached to the tv console to turn the tv on and off. Likewise to change the channels!!! We were living like cavemen.
Nuh-uhhhhh. What do I look like? A Florida voter? Nobody is dumb enough to believe that.
Just look at that schedule. Olny three networks. Only one week. And there are more shows I'd rather watch on that schedule than whats airing on several hundred channels now.
...that I used a 8 foot stick to change the channels from the conmfort of my lazy chair?
I always like Bobby Troupe as Dr. Joe Early, Firece Allegiance. And of course, Nurse Dixie McCall.
Bit of Trivia: Bobby Troupe wrote the lyrics and did the original arrangement for the classic road trip song "Route 66".
Jack.
I appreciate Nurse McCall more now than I did then. I didn't like the doc, he scared me like my faily doc Joe Kresock.
I've been needing some Ringer's Lactate for some time now!
Bob Newhart. That's the other I was trying to remember
I remeber Night Gallery use to be on Friday nights. Nust have been a bit before or after that year
Julie started out by playing small parts in the early 1940s and quickly became a leading actress and G.I. pin-up girl. In 1947, she married actor Jack Webb prior to his fame in _"Dragnet" (1952)_ , and went into semi-retirement, doing few films and even taking a break between 1951 - 1955. After she and Jack divorced in the mid-50s she became a jazz/pop singer, managed and groomed by jazz musician/actor Bobby Troup, who later became her partner in life when they married in 1959, and even later on the small screen. Ironically, when former hubby Jack Webb became the producer of Emergency! (1972) (TV), he hired not only Julie but her then-current husband, Bobby, and they starred together in her most recognizable role.
