Well, Mr. B has decided to retire from the OFST chairmanship and turned the ping list over to me. So, in keeping with our pre-weekend ritual! Let the silliness commence!
My daughters first real kiss was given to a plushie of Larry the Cucumber. She threw her arms around it and gave it a big ol' smooch! I was jealous for weeks of a plushie!
But your county was Red like mine in the last election.
Well..
I tend to not let most see it 'usually'.
And yes, the blank shoot with the howitzers had something 'extra' in the blank rounds as you mentioned.
We were loaded and waiting for the order to do a time check four gun volley fire.
The blank rounds have guncotton, and a plastic cover overtop the guncotton.
Makes for a nice neat cup to put stuff in.
Like golfballs.
The Captain we had at the time was wandering around, and found that there were some golfballs around.
So he wanders by all the howitzers, and drops one golfball down each.
I said nothing, as I'd been sorta thinking the same thing but empty soda cans instead.
(I am a Fountain of BAD Ideas!)
Well, in the brush right in front of the howitzers, a group of fine outstanding hippified youth have decided to set up lawnchairs.
Directly in the path of fire.
(Well, under it, but burning and spattering wax would land where they were sitting. Not to mention minor overpressure from us firing.)
Well, we hear giggling and chuckling, plus a few wisps of funny smelling smoke curling out of the brush every once in awhile.
Every time we tried to get them to move, they bust out giggling and say they were invisible and we couldn't see them.
We give up trying to roust them.
We get the clear to do volley fire.
The second we did so, the brush came alive with people FLEEING across the golf course next door.
The golfballs flew rather well, hooked to the left though, and on fire.
I do not know how far they went or where they landed, but it was pretty impressive.
Oh yeah! I love the Water Buffalo Song, too.
Everybody's got a water buffalo,
yours is fast but mine is slow......
;-)
Anything for fun, right.
There are plenty of Alpha males around, and there mostly conservative. I don't think you can have a hippie alpha male.
Womens intuition huh?
I was never into politics until 9/11 - then the words of my (then dececed) father came back to me. Complacency.... the only Democrat in my family is my Mom & she still doesn't get it. I forwarded an article from Peggy Noonan & how she described the difference from when she was becane a Democrat & how the party has changed, but, unfortunately my Mom still defends the party. :o(
But at least the rest of us, inlcuding my 16 year old nephew know better!
Same here.... OK, I can't remember... Did it have a happy ending? (Because if it didn't, I'm gonna jump off the roof)
'xactly....
Which is one of the reasons I like you guys :)
Well... we were kinda bored up until that point.
We'd been sitting for half an hour.
And we'd had a reporter call us some pretty slanderous names.
So we had some ulterior motives.. yes.
I'll bet dollar for dollar RI is just as corrupt. There's not week that goes by that some politician or one of his cronies are on trial here.
Something like that!!
I sent you a freepmail earlier about Jersey.
