In 1984, President Reagan joked during a voice test for a paid political radio address that he had "signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes."

The world has changed so much in 20 years. I like W but compared to Reagan, we have seen 3 mediocre presidents since 88.

He was from a different era. The likes of which we wont see again.

Sorta reminds me of how leftists had an anurism on another web forum I saw a few weeks back about a video of GW flipping off the camera before an address when he was governor of Texas.

Much like we might ask what Caesar Julius or Churchill or Lincoln or Washington might do in a given situation, so too will the wise someday ask "What would Reagan do?"

Turns out he was right. The Soviet Union WAS outlawed.
