Not another can! Not one! (Pringles)

Posted on 08/09/2005 4:35:54 PM PDT by ConservativeMan55

I was completely shocked this afternoon while eating my lunch. I took a few chips out of the pringles can...and then did a double take! No it couldn't be?

Pringles has begun adding alternative spanish ingredients and weight on the front of the can. You can take a look at it yourself.

Pringles Can

If you go to
pringles.com you will first see a map of the world. Intending to portray an international feeling.

I believe this is the doing of Procter and Gamble. The ultra liberal company. Procter and Gamble also make Pampers, Tide, Arial, Always, Whisper, Pantene, Bounty, Pringles, Folgers, Millstone, Charmin, Downy, Lenor, Iams, Crest, Actonel, Head and Shoulders, Olay, Clarol Nice N Easy, and more.

If you would like to make your feelings clear about the new labels..please write to...

I started digging deeper to see if I could find more about Procter and Gamble.

Here is a phone number to go with the address above.

513-983-1100

Main Page of Procter and Gamble.

The Family Research Council at one time supported a boycott of Procter and Gamble because of their support for Homosexual groups and activism.

Here is a letter I found.
Procter and Gamble Cleans Up Its Act.

Pro-family groups have called off a boycott of goods produced by Procter & Gamble. Nearly 400,000 citizens had pledged to boycott P&G because of their support for homosexual activism. Those monitoring the company's practices have concluded that it has now ended its sponsorship of offensive TV programs and homosexual websites. An executive who promoted the homosexual agenda within the company, and who was given a leave of absence to work for pro-homosexual special rights legislation in Cincinnati, is no longer working for P&G. This victory shows the power that pro-family citizens have when they vote with their dollars against supporting corporate homosexual activism. Thank you, P&G, for listening to your customers' concerns.

They listened once..perhaps they will listen again.

Below information is optional. Perhaps somebody will find some liberal connections in it. Procter & Gamble

GET A LIFE! Gilette gives info in English, French and Spanish on my razor blades (I know because I just bought some five minutes ago). What's wrong with playing to different linguistic groups to expand your market.

Boycott boycotts. This one in particular is really stupid. Sorry.

Where is the 'not this shit again' graphic when you need it? It's pure marketing, not a political statement. This help P&G sell not only to multi lingual people in the US but also in other countries. (one package to create.)
As for the boycott.. well, I cannot think of a company that people haven't called for a boycott on at one time for another..
Save your energy for real issues.

Not going to happen. Besides, drivers licenses are provided by the state. This is a private company playing to its market base. You should be devoting your energies to more important tasks than bilingualism on a can of friggin potato chips.

And you wonder why some folks don't take cultural conservatism seriously.

I thought your complaint was about Spanish on a Pringles can. What does that have to do with French on a driving test?

I think you'll have a hard time finding anything exclusively in English.

Bought a new VCR some years ago...the instructions were in English...well sorta. Actually, they had been written in Japanese and then TRANSLATED into English. However, some things became lost in the translation. One instruction said something like, install tubing into port wisely. Huh?

:)
