Why, thank you! I went shopping on my birthday, but not for me, though I did end up buying a couple of shirts on sale at Filene's. ;o) We're looking for a nice digital camera for our daughter. She and I are going to Japan in a couple of weeks, and she wanted to have a camera for when she goes on jaunts with her friend who lives there and the other friend who is flying over with us. She doesn't want to lug our larger one around, and besides, I'LL be using that one! ;o)

I was in Filene's and was wearing a dark blue shirt that has little flags all over it. The two sales ladies, both of whom sounded like they were Eastern European, just oohed and ahhed over it, and one said, "I need to get myself a shirt with flags on it, too!" Obviously they were thankful to live in this wonderful free nation in which they can pursue happiness for themselves!

I hate hearing about supposedly big stars who don't seem to remember that it's their fans that made them great. When they look down their noses, it's disgusting, isn't it?

He was so offkey - I'm assuming he couldn't hear the music in his ears and couldn't find the right notes - it was pathetic. He finally moved into the correct pitch, but it was almost painful, if you know what I mean.

Hope your computer problems are better mine are stil bad but at least have managed to get a friend to down load my mail from my old email address so have got the password and got snugs back.

We might be related! I'm related to the Lee's, Dukes, Rountree and Strang (latter out of SC, I think) but haven't ever had the time to do any geneology.

My cousin was a professional geneologist and she couldn't get very far on my Dad's side - well, further back than the Civil War, as so many Courthouses in the South have burned, destroying records. I was hoping that some day, memories might fill the gaps on ancestry.com and when I go back, will be able to do a better job of getting past "William Rountree" at Williamsburg, (James or Henrico County)!
