Private Property Rights in the USA 7/4/1776 - 6/23/2005
My Dark and Foreboding Mind ^ | 6/23/2005 | Self

The SCOTUS today pulled the feeding tube of the American Private Property Rights. In so doing, these 5 justices have finally confirmed the total and unconditional power of the government over the people. Washington, Jefferson, Adams and Franklin are turning over in their graves...........

My brother has a bumper sticker on his truck that says: "I am proud of what my country USED to be". So much for the fifth amendment.

"Yep. This is pretty much the end."

On the contrary: this is the beginning. All who side with the Supreme Sandwich Court will be in for a long string of negative press. It will never end, until this ruling is reversed.

We should all have that bumper sticker.

Washington, Jefferson, Adams and Franklin are turning over in their graves...........

More like they're slashing their wrists!

I am having a hard time thinking of a more serious attack on our way of life, indeed, against the foundations of our country, than this one.

And yes, that would include the national islamic terrorist threat.

The power to tax is the power to destroy. The power to condemn is the power to enslave. What better threat to invidual freedom and individual choice?
I may be wrong, but I believe that even historically fascist states made "condemnation" a difficult process.

The Constitution says so.........

They'll probably cite some international law to support their decision, why can't we find some international law to get rid of them. They can't have it both ways.

Please, everyone, is there a site to read the complete decision?

Has anyone analyzed the statements, the reasoning and the refutation for this decision?

I am dumbfounded. "Due Process" has been reduced to the asinine concept of simply going through motions; as if the rest of the Constitution no longer exists.

Who were the five pricks that voted for the canceling of the fifth amendment?

"...That's what Amendments are for..."

That's what Amendments WERE for. Now, it doesn't make any difference. The SUPREME COURT can do what ever it wants and the rest of us be damned.

To me, these are the defining issues of our times:

-Men(ace) in Black? SCOTUS goes Rogue...--

-Useless Eaters vs The Death Cult--

-Thunder on the Border-- (Minuteman Project)--

1- an unaccountable Judiciary.
2- whose life is it, anyway? Yours, or someone else's?
3- whose Country is it?

There are other vital issues, of course- but these three will determine just who we really are as a nation.

Wrong. From article three, section one: "The judges, both of the supreme and inferior courts, shall hold their offices during good behaviour..."

Nothing in the Constitution about lifetime appointments!

The one idea all the revolutionaries had through out all their fighting, and reworking the Constitution, and passing it etc etc was property rights.

Property rights, property rights, property rights. They disagreed about a lot of things, but that was the thing they all agreed on.

I am sick to my stomach. I can't believe how upset I am over this.

Look on the bright side. WalMart and Costco etc. will be closer to home. Less distance to drive during these days of high gas prices.

Wait until Greenies start getting elected to more and more County and City governments. They will start seizing farms and ranches and selling them to the conservancies for a $1.00.

Wait until Rush gets his house taken away from 'eminent domain'. There's no limit to local government abuse. You can level restaurants, flatten farms, silence newspapers, silence radio stations, and destroy political opponents. I predict that this will get very, very ugly.

Yes, and the courts are getting arrogant. They did nothing to make nice with Americans with this issue. They bit off more than they could chew. This can be a major issue in 2008: property rights. Who will jump on it? Hillary, I wonder? Talk radio is giving the GOP fair warning about this. They better not ignore the new media, just like with borders. If they drop borders AND land rights, that could be enough for the rats to get back in power.
