Before I begin explaining my theory, can we all agree that illegal immigration is a problem that most Americans (even liberals are against it, most of the time) disagree with? I voted for G.W. Bush for his second term because I was most certain that such a "conservative" President would do us all a favor and stop the 15 million illegal immigrants in our country, sneaking into our country at the rate of 3 million per year. After all, if homeland security is so important during this unprecedented magnitude of war, surely securing the borders should be at the top of that list, correct? Well, sadly, both parties have failed us. Illegal immigration is at an all time high.
So what's going on? I have the answer:
This may sound a little too "conspiracy theorist" for your taste, but it's the only explanation I can think of; and I'm quite positive I'm right.
Before we think about our ineptitude in securing the border, we must take China into consideration.
Oh My! What ever do I mean by this?!
China, to me, will be the next super-power, economically and militaristically, within the next 15 to 50 years. They are agressively trying to emulate our economy, technology, and military. Now, this wouldn't be a problem if history didn't teach us that two powerful countries cannot exist on the same planet at the same time. Competition between powerful nations will always breed war. Therefore, it would be reasonable for us to stay ahead of China in every aspect of power, correct?
What is the one thing China has that We the people do not? POPULATION.
China has almost triple our population. If they could emulate our military's technology, they could stomp us in the ground, because they would be able to draft three times as many people. Catching on yet?
My theory is that the "open border" we seem to be seeing is actually a meticulously calculated plan to augment our population drastically to prepare for future wars, especially one with China.
3 million illegals per year. In fifteen years, that would be 45 Million new people (plus our natural 1-2 percent growth as an MDC).
Draft all the young latino men. You've got a war with China. Bam!
Welcome to FR.
The old canon fodder theory.
Sniff?
How many years would it take our population to catch up with China?
(I'm bad at math)
There's a better way to do this--annex Mexico.
A thread as your first post and no replies.
You're digging your own hole here.
Why would China start a war if we drafted all the young latino men?
Western politicians don't think 15-50 years in the future. I am not so sure Asian ones do either, btw.
Both parties want the Hispanic vote. That is why they will not enforce the law, and why Bush called the Minutemen vigilantes. There is nothing complicated or subtle about it.
Incorrect. We are far from the FY 2000 high.
Statistics comparing FY 2000 and FY 2005 please?
An expansion of the country is long overdue--no new state since 1960.
The FY 2000 total was 1.6 million.
We on track to apprehend lees then 50% of the FY 2000 total.
Should read; "We are on track to apprehend less then 50% of the FY 2000 total."
I'm tired.
That ok, I tired, too.
If you don't start responding to the various posts, folks will think you're a troll. Please believe me when I say trolls have no credibility out here at all. If you are thought a troll, any effort you make to analyze the situation, share your thoughts, and have them seriously considered will be a waste of time.
Just trying to help.
China has about 4 times our population.
Maybe you were better at theatre arts.
